Excellent ride from Dani, great consistent pace till the end. Another solid race from Stoner, 14 podiums and no DNF's, pretty decent turn around from last year.
Great way for Hopper to go out, CV needs to qualify better and I'm sure he'll sort that out over the off season.
Commiserations to Rossi, an ordinary season by his standards comes to end in the worst way. The comments from Brivio suggest the engine wasn't broken in an obvious way, I guess we'll find out in a few days what the problem was or not at all.
Why does everyone think Michelin suck, they won the race! If you look at the number of riders on Michelin's we have a total of seven who started the race. Roberts might as well have road tyres on and Rossi DNF'ed. So you're left with Edwards, Checa and Nakano to fly the flag. Edwards has no pace at the best of times, same for Nakano and Checa was ill this weekend and still managed to beat both of them. So that leaves the only really quick guys, Hayden and Pedrosa. Hayden had a .... weekend getting the tyres to work, but the team got it figured out for the race, he obviously hadn't found a solution to last the whole race given his .... performances in the practice sessions.
Michelin have a competitive combination in Pedrosa and Honda, with tyre rule changes, test sessions before new or resurfaced tracks, Pedrosa should be strong. As long as Hondas new engine doesn't suck balls.
