Well, well, well. Let's have a control tyre now. This last race goes to show how all the tyre ........ was just that.... ........!!! This season has been one that has had a lot of twists (most noticebly Stoner's dominance), and the last race has shown a huge twist for next season.
The michelins CAN definately cut the pace in both qualifying and race sitations, and the honda has now got comparable/quicker pace than the ducati on the straights.
No doubt that the ducati can launch off the line though, it's an absolute missile. Put Stoner in the third row on the ducati and I reckopn he can be in the lead, or so close to it on most circuits.
Unless yamaha can do something with their bike in 2008, I don't think Vale has a chance.
Oh, and great race by Hopper, I believe you have shown the talent to do really good things on the kawasaki!
Next year's shaping up like a cracker!!!
<
<

sure, those michilins are just dandy ! 1st and 8th, dani's worked just fine altho its been said hayden had problems with his, not too consistant for a supposed michilin track ! now thats count the bridgstones

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Pinky @ Nov 4 2007, 02:00 PM) <div class='quotemain'>
micheline have dominated forever. rossi is just chasing his own tail going to bridgestone, just coz he hasnt won for 2 years in a row. 2006 he lost it himself and 2007 he was just dominated.

i hope he does change to brisdgestone, just so we can shut him up and talk about the racing

YOU talk about racing

GREAT RACE BY DANI!!!
<
<
<

GO DANI 2008 WILL BE YOUR YEAR!!!

It's a pity there wont be single tyre supplier but it's seems Michelin have improved a little, not that far behind Bstone now!

Great race from Stoner and Pedrosa, a class above everyone else. Congratulations to Dani, the Honda was set up beautifully and he rode a storming race, brilliant! Wasn't much wrong with those Michelins either. Stoner rode a blinder to keep up with Pedrosa considering seemingly wrong tyre choice, the Ducati had visibly less grip that Dani's Honda, not to mention Piccolo's awesome pace. I'm gutted for Rossi, he's had a ...... weekend, not the way he would have liked to end a season, certainly not the way any sportsfan would like to have seen him finish the year, here's wishing him better luck next year!

Honestly i'm not 100% sure. It would be very unlike Rossi to just give up, he just wouldn't do that. But it did cross my mind that the pain got to him and he decided it wasn't worth it. We'll see what comes to the surface though, i expect a technical problem

Rossi is pissed eh! Will he get out of his Yamaha contract???

Yamaha has been poor though, can't blame Rossi for today's disaster.

Ya that was one of the least happy times Ive ever seen Valentino, I mean normally even if he has a break down he normally still waves to the cameras

Yep there comes a point when it does get comical, Rossi's bad luck this year has been unreal. I feel sorry for the guy, it ain't his fault, for Yamaha to provide him with a bike that breaks not once, but 3 times out of 18 races isn't really on, is it? Not at this level. I still think he's made a balls in all aspects with the Bridgestone move, perhaps this just proves that theory to be correct. You could see several times on the straight that Rossi's bike didn't have any speed advantage over the tech3 Yamaha or anything else for that matter, could have been a motor running too hot on it's way to breaking but it's all irrelevant now. Despite battling the pain he's wound up 3rd and that's that, who in their right mind could argue against Rossi blamimg yamaha? Dani Pedrosa proved it ain't the tyres.

Have i missed something?? How are you counting 3 mechanicals?

I must have overlooked one

I'm not so sure because it was Bridgestone from 2nd to like 7th.

Its only Dani's size that means he can go past Stoner on the straight because i've not seen anyone else do it.

When Valentino or Dani win on Michelin this year its because they are great riders the other people on michelin cannot do this so their tyres are still second best to me.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<div class='quotemain'>"I will speak to the (Yamaha) Japanese guys, but I'm Valentino Rossi so it doesn't feel right that I should race with the slowest bike that breaks down too."

I feel sorry for Rossi and all, but thats overly pretentious. He moved to Yamaha when they were the worst bikes on the grid, now he's complaining that they're the worst bikes on the grid? If quality and reliability was what he wanted, he could have stayed with Honda. I'm starting to think that the Rossi of four years ago who enjoyed challenges and pushing himself to the limit is gone, and now he feels he has some divine right to be number one.

ditch the losers, do what ever it takes to get back on a winning side.

Things have changed though haven't they. He didn't need Honda before, now he does. I think he should go back or retire after 2008.

rossi did NOT lose this season due to bad luck. in all the DNFs he had due to mechanical probs he was onyl in mid files maybe average 5th. so really add an extra 30 points to his tally he would of still been beaten by 70+points.

take away his crash his own falut he still would of been 60+ points behind.

in any case he been beaten bad, thats why hes upset. in 06 he did have bad luck and only lost it his own fautl in the last race.

why the .... does he need honda ? there only marginally better than yam. going back would be a step backwards, he should stick with yam or go to another team other than a yam or honda imo.
