Hannspree Ten Kate coureur James Toseland will make the transition to the Motogp catergory. The british leader in the WSBK championship shall ride for Yamaha in 2008, next to the confirmt coureurs Valentino R and Jorge L.

How definitvive the actuall teams will be for the fabricteams/satelite teams hasn't been announced yet.

Thats assuming JT really does get some factory backing and decent tyres.. Either way, I welcome him, finally the poms will have a contender to cheer for!

Ok well first of all it is rediculous to brand JT a loser before he has even ridden in motogp, you may be sceptical about his success but he is the best rider world superbikes has to offer and there is no good reason he shouldn't be in motogp. Secondly, JT is one of the farest and most sporting rider in racing at the moment, so your winging comments ghold no weight at all, especially coming from a Stoner fan as he is probably the most winging rider since i Mick Doohan!

JT is one of the nicest racers around, in any discipline, he has NEVER put his rivals down and doesn't moan about his machinery, as of this moment, I have more respect for him as a person than I do for Stoner.

And it's not because I'm a Brit, it's the fact he's a respectful person.

Again, if it's true, best of luck to him, hoping he can beat his team-mates atleast once next year.

Tomy...Tomy...Please...he's had the Irishmen’s LUCK...what with Bayliss crashing so many times you can’t be "SERIOUS"!!! He’s NOT the best in WSB!!!...just has a look at his form in the WET!!!...well it’s NO FORM!!!...if Mr. Bayliss would have been competitive in 2007 Mr. JT wouldn’t have had a chance!!!...and don’t tell me that JT is a better rider than Troy...and that is either of them...take your pick!!! The Honda has just been more reliable and has also had pretty good speed!!!...Let’s see what Mr JT can do on the Yamaha in 2008!!...totally different story!!!

Firstly, Troy Corser is finished. This guy was a good superbike rider not long ago but now is consistently beaten by the official nearly man riding the same equipment as him.

Secondly, the Honda has not been more reliable than the Bayliss bike at all since JT has had one mechanical faliure and one tyre move on his rim, compared to zero machine problems for Troy. As for Bayliss being better, i will disagree with you. This year has been a perfect examople of what i tell peopleTroy's flaws are as a rider, he can't hack it when he isn't fully comfortable. On weekends when the bike hasn't been set up exactly how he wants it he has ridden slower than people like Xaus and Lanzi, or just crashed. He is the man when things go his way but if he can't deal with it when they don't he will be beaten. in 2007, JT is riding better than TB.

Now i just have to hope Ant grabs a spot for 08, Tech3/Dantin/Kwak are his options... Tech3 and Kwak are now looking unlikely.. Meh, time will tell..

Im just glad the Tose gets a shot... Be quite interesting..

I wonder if both squads are running Michelins. If not we could see Rossi being beaten by 'factory supported' machines if the weekend is anything like Laguna. I can't see Yamaha being that stupid, they don't give a .... about Tech 3 now, but in 08 it looks as though they are firmly supporting the team. Same tyres would make it a lot easier when it comes to development.

So Guintoli and Tamada are gonskis? meh.

Not a chance, they will be even more desperate to beat Yamaha in superbike if anything.

Geeez give it a rest for once.

I'm a bit disappointed if I'm honest with JT, he says he wanted a factory ride, so he goes to the worst factory team in the championship, what about the rumour that he had been offered another year in WSBK and then a factory honda?

Great to see JT finally in motogp now we can see how good he is.

How will tech 3 be a factory team though?

there are:

2 fiat bikes (Rossi and ???probably Edwards)

1 fortuna? bike for Lorenzo

2 tech 3 (Toseland and ???maybe Guintoli)

this would mean all 5 yamahas on the grid would be factory bikes?
