Only day 1 yes, but MM still the fastest man on the circuit.

Interesting the usual top guys are slightly slower, But the middle order cal, maverick etc, have all gotten faster.

I didn't read all the pages but I can tell you
1. Only a few teams are using the unified ECU programming
2. Most bikes are 2015 with some 2016 models
3. Some Yamaha bikes got a new gearbox
4. Today's testing was to get a feeling for the Michelin
5. Today was also to get the new riders fitted to their new respective bikes.

Therefore, I would take the results lightly.

Sepang on the other hand will be the true test

They are running 17" wheels and the overall diameter of the wheels are almost the same,
That can only result in profile size difference, totally different tire.
