I think if Stoner can ignore the in house politics within the team from captain no nuts, he can bring the empire its only 800 title.
Think of what happened last time he swung his leg over the fastest bike in a straight line, he wiped the floor with em.
I dont think it will be as easy as he had it in 2007 but i get the feeling the Honda is at the pointy end of the grid & will only get better, plus he has jap tyres rather then the french ones made of smeely cheese!!
He will win in Qatar, just remains to be seen if either Dani or Rossi can keep up. I think Lorenzo will be occupied trying to keep Spies under control.

I think you'd have to be a brave person betting against Stoner being up there in the WC leadership points towards the end of next year TBH.
Qatar he may be favourite to win, but I think he'll be there or thereabouts all year.
Hopefully, so will Rossi, Lorenzo & Pedrosa - lets just hope that the last year of the 800s ends up being a good one.

Be interesting to do one for each of the "expected to perform" riders too now. eg. Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Spies, Rossi. Actually Rossi would be interesting as it is a bit of an unnown ATM. Nice to see what is expected compared to how it actually pans out. Spies too.
I'll assume that I'm one of the people you are talking about bashing Stoner. I have always said he is bloody fast and Barry will remember me saying that he could put in a fast lap in a "shopping trolley with a bung wheel". He wasn't the champion in 2007 because he wasn't in the top 5% of the motogp field.
