What if?

Can you imagine if Pedro goes to Yamaha and beats everybody on Rossi's bike. Just think of the debates that would arise concerning the greatness of both riders and both manufacturers. Cant believe im saying it, but i would be pulling hard for Dani to win a title on a Yamaha. Its like we are blowing through a parallel universe .

Or Pedro can run wingman. "CE2.0" (shamelessly stolen from JKD).

But I hope he beats Rossi.

The other thing is, I bet HRC ..... out of putting a hardcore rider next to Marquez thanks to Alzamoron. My guy is Iannone. Anybody else is either worthless or a big risk. I swear I don't get why Rins and Viñalez are such hot commodities. Rins has done nothing so far. Viñalez is struggling to keep Alex at bay. Pol is a joke. The biggest pansy of the paddock. Cuntslow? He shouldn't even be in GP.

Shotgun on the Pedrama bandwagon!

Like 'Repsol' & 'MoviStar' have a hard on demand for a Spanish rider, so to Ducati for an Italian. I honestly don't see Welshman Davies replacing an Italian at Ducati GP. No, I think Gigi being at Wsbk 'Imola' was both a visible support of the Italian push for world success and being there to show his support for the Italian event. I think Gigi wants to regain Ducati domination in Wsbk as much as he is working for a GP Ducati title. Davies is the guy they will rally around on Superbike, Lorenzo the guy for GP.

Though I still think Lorenzo's run of titles is over. Ducati GP would have to be as good as the RCV /M1 just to have an outside chance. That is simply not going to happen. Even now on equal footing to Marquez and Rossi he is split between them, the Ducati will not offer an advantage. Let us hope I'm wrong.

I disagree Jum. I reckon Lorenzo will be at least 3 or 4 tenths faster than Dovi & Iannone even on this years bike. That would put him right at the front most weekends. I think he will win races. Whether he can win enough to bag a title is the big question. I also think Pedrosa will have his best chance at a premier class crown on next years Yamaha.
I don't see HRC putting Iannone on their bike. Vinales or Rins will probably get the gig. Crutchlow no chance. 2017 is looking great.

According to Spanish media, Pedrosa to Yamaha.

If Cuntslow goes to Repsol god help us. If HRC have any brains or balls, Iannone to teammate Marquez.

I think Iannone would get it over Cal. He would be cheaper & a chance to rebuild his reputation. I do believe he would get a stern tongue lashing from bot Naka San & Livio upon arrival.

If Cal goes to Reapsoul its because Marc wants his own CEII. Meanwhile Pedro will beat Rossi on a Yami.

Only problem with the GP16 is they are still opting for softer tires than the factory Yamaha and Honda. Unless they can maintain speed with harder compounds, they aren't going to be running with the top bikes.

Everyone was predicting Pedrosa was winning the title this year after the way he finished 2015. That ain't happening. Not entirely sure he will do anything much if he goes to Yamaha.

I don't think he will win the title although I wouldn't be shocked to see him have a shot next year on the yamaha either. I just think he will outscore the goat.

How can you be so sure?
The softer tyre might go full race distance with little loss to grip.
Le-mans has a brand new tyre not used by anyone before FP1 so we really have no idea until they have been put to race distance.
Remember at Qatar Lorenzo said he expected the medium to drop off towards the end of the race but instead it just continued giving all the grip he needed.
These new tyres might just do the same;)

Question for the board.

If Jorge wins the title this year, is he entitled to carry the #1 on the Ducati in '17?

Seems not right for a manufacturer to wear the 1, when they did not produce the results.

#1 is awarded to the rider, so technically, yes.

Either Suppo & Meregalli are doing a great sell job, or that Spanish story was jumping the gun.

Not surprising. The media is so eager for stories that they are susceptible to manipulation. Often they're the manipulators.

I mentioned this in another thread, Message Disseminators. I bet HRC are in hurry up mode now. Remember when Lorenzo was supposedly offered 15 mil to sign with Ducati? Then suddenly Yamaha were pressed into action.

Even when they battled regularly - Rossi beat him regularly because he was ready to fight. Rossi is so familiar with the bike and Pedrosa will take at least the first 4 or 5 races to get comfortable on the bike.

Meanwhile it's official Iannone will be Jorge's garage mate. So Dovi goes where? I think he'd be pretty leery of being with Rossi, and I think given his luck and previous indicators, Yamaha will be looking the next big thing in the form of some young gun.

Nothing of the sort has been said about Iannone.

An announcement is possible at Catalunya, but no news sites have reported anything otherwise. Kropo thinks Dovizioso will be staying at Ducati.
