Question is how long will they allow Albino to circulate in last? Btw, I also hope Alex beats Viñalez.I like Zarco but I don't know if I wanna have him instead of Aleix.
Where else Zarco can go?
Kropo is reporting on his twitter feed (Via a retweet) that Ducati are likely to announce Lorenzo's team mate for 2017 this weekend, and it won't be Iannone.
I wonder if Viñalez Red Bull vs Monster sponsorship is interfering with the proceedings. I know Lorenzo had to switch from RockStar to accommodate Rossi's sponsors, as did Hayden's switch from Alpinestars to Dianese.I've always rated Aleix. I think he won't be far off Maverick or might even better him this season
Ducati would be stupid to let Iannone go. If he's not on the official factory then put him on a satellite branded full factory bike.

There are only 4 coveted seats in the world, Rossi has occupied 1 for 2 decades, Pedrosa for one decade, Marquez will be at HRC at least that long. Lorenzo giving up that seat is a once in a generation opportunity. When you look at it in these terms, it's a no brain for Viñalez to take it regardless all the Suzuki promises. However, let's be honest, sharing a garage with Rossi is a nightmare if you actually want to challenge for success. Unlike Colin Edwards who was for Rossi, the perfect teammate, content just hanging around like a groupie. Viñalez though may be naive enough to go along, unlike Lorenzo.Iannone at Yamaha is a good spot. Fast enough to win races, not consistently fast enough to win a championship. All pluses for Yamaha and VR.
He is also testing the GSX-RR.Not confirmed yet.
Depends on how the Suzuka 8hr race goes.
I think he is yes, I think Aleix is as good.He is also testing the GSX-RR.
Am I the only one who thinks Viñalez is a smudge overrated? (Relatively, he's a good rider, but given he is being fairly matched by Alex Espargaro, can we really determine Mav is that much better?)

I consider Iannone the fastest outside of Marquez and Lorenzo. Certainly would match Pedrosa or Rossi if he were on same bike. Dovi is not faster than Iannone but rather more consistent. (Though apparently Cuntslow would disagree. Haha, he thinks he is the best of the rest. .... I don't know how that man keeps getting good rides.)
Like 'Repsol' & 'MoviStar' have a hard on demand for a Spanish rider, so to Ducati for an Italian. I honestly don't see Welshman Davies replacing an Italian at Ducati GP. No, I think Gigi being at Wsbk 'Imola' was both a visible support of the Italian push for world success and being there to show his support for the Italian event. I think Gigi wants to regain Ducati domination in Wsbk as much as he is working for a GP Ducati title. Davies is the guy they will rally around on Superbike, Lorenzo the guy for GP.I talked about it in the Imola WSBK topic, but Gigi was at Imola for the WSBK in the Aruba.it Ducati garage for the weekend. Certainly being an off weekend for MotoGP, and him being there as a supporter of the team are plausible enough. I think he was there to check out Davies personally. It was as good of a weekend as he could have ever picked if that's what he was really there for.
Depending on how clean of a break he is looking to make with Ducati's recent past, Davies might be a good choice to go next to Lorenzo. Again, I don't know what they want necessarily out of the 2nd rider (development role or a genuine #2) but clearly whatever it is, is not something Iannone can offer if Kropo's tweet is correct.

Though I still think Lorenzo's run of titles is over. Ducati GP would have to be as good as the RCV /M1 just to have an outside chance. That is simply not going to happen. Even now on equal footing to Marquez and Rossi he is split between them, the Ducati will not offer an advantage. Let us hope I'm wrong.
Rossi said in the press conference: "I have a good relationship with Pedrosa."
