Also: Crutchlow is close to extending with LCR? Why!? I don't get why they wouldn't just take a chance on someone else like VDmark, or JRea, or someone that could be a revelation. I'm being serious. Is there a reason LCR has 'incentive' to keep Crutchlow? Ok, he can be fast on his day, but he crashes more times than not. If Crutchlow was along side VDMark in Wsbk, would he be beating the young lad? I doubt it.

Considering LCR is being linked to be possibly moving to Suzuki in 2017

MotoGP, Suzuki considers 4 bikes in 2017

So keeping Cal makes sense from running with an experienced rider.....

Yeah, read that in Kropos piece. Wouldn't that be a great opportunity for a change? Or do they want Crutchlow to crash test the Suzuki too?

True change can be good....but perhaps he bring in money for LCR that wouldnt be there otherwise.....and he spends it on repairs as well...

Also: Suzuki have an option to keep Viñalez but won't? Ok, I see the "rationale" but was that in a contract Viñalez agreed to? Isn't that what contracts are for? So what if it makes him uncomfortable. Keep him the year then he can renegotiate the next contract to terms he likes. What's the point of putting this 'option' in contracts if a rider can then turn around and say, oh well, .... you I'm out. Why isn't Viñalez being criticized for not being a man of his word, and saying, 'hey I signed this contract to stay with Suzuki another year if iscored a podium, I did, and so now I intend to keep my word?' Nobody cares about this? Is character worth nothing in GP? Looks like Viñalez has .... on a contract agreement...again!

Contracts these days aren't worth the paper they are written on. Anyone can be bought out with money it seems. However if Vinales is the sort of rider who will .... on anyone to get what he wants, then I am praying it comes to a handbags at dawn with Rossi in Yamaha!

Speaking of contract breakers...

On his performances this year, I'd be knocking on Eugene Laverty's door and I'd most likely be ditching the Honda too.

I'd put Jonny rea on the LCR.

I think mr crutchlow brings big sponsorship to the table. Sad really, I think that bike is capable of more.

It's just not the same with cal on it, I used to love watch randy go all out on that bike, which more often than not ended up as the same result as cal ( in the gravel) but randy just got on with it and didn't winge. And he has a very nice missus

To be fair, Cal's missus is nice too. Granted, I haven't seen nudes like Ms. Vicars.

Kawasaki already re-signed him.

Going to LCR would be a step down.

Viñalez and Crutchlow both didn't honor their contracts.

JRea has already proved he can win a Wsbk title (granted on a top bike). Being in MotoGP on LCR would be perfect for him. I used to be a big JRea detractor, but he learned to ride smart on a Kawasaki. I think he would have better results than Cuntslow. (Don't look now but Tito Albino is actually the top Honda in the championship outside the factory, crazy, I know). So Jrea would just need to finish races to do better than Cal.

Nope, but i did hear some Kentuckian
this past weekend....good on him....now if just rains all the rest of the season ;)[/QUOTE]
You can't manage a compliment can you. Do it Migs, it will set you free. Let the joy wash away that pent up anger, you'll feel good about yourself.

You should watch the race, it was absolute nails. If you appreciate motorcycle racing, it will move you.

Sure, but Cuntslow is an untrustworthy .... anyway, so I wouldn't ever expect him to honor anything.

Vinales, I understand the move, but lost a lot of respect for him in the process as building something at Suzuki would have been really nice to see. I hope Rossi throws him under the bus so he can get a taste of why Rossi is the worst teammate in grand prix motorcycle racing.

Rea is riding smart and has managed to turn Sykes into a basket case. Maybe the Albino will waltz into LCR if they stick with Honda in 2017...though if Suzuki is willing to supply a GSX-RR or two, dumping Honda would be a smart move. They aren't fixing that bike any time soon.

Once you get past the top 4 or 5, they are all pretty much the same 6-12. It all boils down to who you are most comfortable with and what they are willing to ride for.

Once I watch it then I can give him a compliment on his riding....but without having seen the race....I am sure it moved you though.....If he'd only jumped on the Ducati all those years ago....

Back on topic.....MV going to Yamaha was the only right move for him.....it is the proven bike for winning races and titles, it will allow him to have a real shot at beating Marquez and Rossi next year.....and it places in a position to take the team into the future once Rossi retires in 2 years.....

Iannone, I hope will get the Suzuki or even better the second KTM seat...the KTM ride would make him the Heart and Bradley the Brains for KTM development and success....I am not sure the Suzuki will suit Iannone in the long run...

Dovi...I think should be moved to Pramac and Ducati should pick up Rins or another Moto2 youngster under the mentoring of Lorenzo and Gigi....

Dovi develops and Rins isn't going to do that.

That would just leave you with a guy who refuses to ride the bike in a race giving development feedback. It wouldn't be the smart move.

JLo will be leading all development on the Ducati going forward....not Dovi....good or bad Ducati have to look beyond JLo....and Dovi isn't their future and neither is Petrucci....so it either has to be Redding or someone else like Rins.....Ducati need to pull a Suzuki and take a risk....like they did with Casey.....

Dovi isn't their future sure, but it's about continuity with progressing improvements with the Desmo. You get rid of Dovi, then you have no reliable race feedback/comparison to be given on how the GP17 stacks up with the 16. Stoner's feedback while very precise and accurate, still is problematic when it's coming from one or two circuits in tests as opposed to actual race conditions. Unless he decides to man up and wild card, relying solely on him isn't the way to go yet.

Rins hasn't even shown anything on a GP machine yet.

Stoner already had a season under his belt with LCR, of which he had done pretty well in spite of being handicapped with the tires.

Rins might be the second coming, and he might not be. I do know a guy who hasn't proven himself on a GP machine is a big risk that might pan out, and might not.

Yeah saw he re signed but as we found out contacts don't mean much. Getting like the EPL.

I also think a almost factory LCR is better than a factory Wsbk ride, but he has a good gig at kawa so don't blame him.

If ianone went to Suzuki he would do well. Won't stop him getting a tow in quali though, that annoys me

Tito has got to go as well.

Tito stays. :furious:
