Should Casey be punished

In this particular circumstance, there was plenty of riders losing control. Rog has a good point, Stoner didn't need to jump the fence to gesture to Rossi. If another rider had of lost control and taken him out whilst standing trackside geering, then attitudes would be far different.

It was very dangerous and completely uneccesary. We witnessed last season how easy a life can be taken in a motorcycle race, let alone riders deliberately jumping back into harms way to carry on like a clown.

Personally I reckon I would have mooned Rossi....he may have been tempted to pull over for a closer inspection

What's this got to do with what I said to Reggie? Another paid up cult member coming to the defense of his cult buddy. You English boys stick together ok - safety in numbers isn't there. OOOOHhhh, we wouldn't want you learning to think for yourself now, would we? Remember - Rossi is god, Rossi is god, Rossi is god. Start clapping your hands and chanting it all together. Remember the yellow robes for your next cult meeting.

Rossi is god, Rossi is god, Rossi is Rossi is god, Rossi is god, Rossi is Rossi is god, Rossi is god, Rossi is Rossi is god, Rossi is god, Rossi is Rossi is god, Rossi is god, Rossi is god

and waltz off into the sunset.

Haters gonna hate.

As much as I find this sort of incoherent drivel, sooking of the highest order, one has to admit Rossi is not making many friends since 2010 ........ and he doesn't seem to be able to pull out of the nosedive.
<

Gotta wonder what will come next from him
<

Sadly I think a lot of it is the expectations of you Boppers, and his inability to deliver, causing it. And even then when he does deliver what the Boppers want ..... its not very useful and not very pertinent to the contemporary paddock.

So you think Stoner 'made friends' yesterday with his gesture to the marshals and Rossi?

Lets be honest, no matter what he does Stoner will never be more popular than Rossi as much as you might want him to be. He probably doesn't care, but he has the temperament of a pubescent teenager.

I love this thread. Casey is so lame, even his come backs were lame. They should fine him for that.

This is what Rossi should have responded like;

Hows your shoulder?

"A lot better than your bike, thanks."

Your ambition outways your talent

"Yeah well my career out ways your talent."

But no Rossi took the high road.

I think that there has been no one specific MGP incident ever that has both drawn more "lurkers" out to express disdain at Rossi and admiration of Stoner,....... and, as shocked as even I am, has caused some previously "noted" Rossifans to seem to have switched allegiances

Luckily with Stoners comments he even now seems to have surpassed Rossi in the "words" department as well as the on track

What Rossi should have done is got up and tried pushing Stoner's bike. Now that would have been an epic gesture (I'm serious). Rossi totally ...... up. He is not a contender this year. His points mean .... to the title favorite, and he should know this. He did great in getting back up and finishing the race, but had he done this, man, I think it would have gone a long way in forgiveness. I'm not sure he even looked back at Stoner.

+1 My thoughts exactly Jumkie.

That would have been an entirely appropriate and magnanimous gesture and far more sincere than rocking up to Stoners garage with a lid strapped to your ugly mug and a bevvy of TV cameras and media whores milking the situation for all it was worth in a gesture that was completely insincere.

I am sure Rossi regrets his actions...but more than likely for all the wrong reasons.

He didnt once even glance in Stoners direction or offer a wave of condolence for his actions.

When did MotoGP become a popularity contest?

As far as Stoner's temeperament goes, it's just who he is. He wasn't exactly the jock in his school days, if I remember correctly he said he was teased and bullied as a kid. I'd think that has alot to do with how one carries themselves. Maybe he views Rossi as the 'bully' and won't put up with his shiit any longer, who knows. You people need to stop making such a big deal over this.... who cares how he carries himself, as long as he's being himself unlike that 2 face Rossi.

I was under the impression this was not a popularity contest but in fact a motorcycle world championship. I am pretty sure Stoner wouldnt lose any sleep at night if it means gathering fans of your ilk.

Casey surely didnt think that up on his own, I bet those were Adriana's words. We know how where the pants in that family. And what mighty nice pants those are.

Au contraire mon ami - losing the front end means taking the low road. I am sure Rossi will continue down this path on a regular basis

Unfortunately I agree. I dont think this is the last time we will see this from him. He loves to fire it up the inside to make a pass. And the Duc loves to front end tuck without any warning. Seriously I think this will happen again probably more than once this year.

What ppl haven't said yet is

Rossi is struggling not with the injury etc

he's struggling because as in the past he's

been a master at getting under ppls skin Max,Sete,Dani,Jorge etc

This time Casey,Jorge,Dani have got under HIS Skin

in the past he's had the idea 2004 M1.(Max has wins on that) (I CAN Win a title on that)

This time he's got Ducati

Casey got (Wins & Title) on it

Rossi Ain't going to get anything like the wins/titles on the Duc

CASEY Has well and truely got under his skin

Rossi took the $$££ (Ken-Turkey kid) option and isn't living up to it

The move Rossi did yesterday (I Didn't mean to pass him) < what bollocks that is

was a true bit of despiration if any other rider had done that they would have been before the stewards asap

and every forum posting would be calling for the riders head

The blinkered Rossi bopper fans wont man up and say anything bad against the GUY

Yesterday His Actions and his Actions only spoilt a race that was heading to be a classic

AND Where would we be if Stoner had broken a leg eh ? FFS

The Rossi fans are upset because they missed out on a Jerkin the Gherkin session about 2:15pm yesterday

that was there Hero's fault

Rossi has crossed the line he's not the Racer he once was get over it

i feel sorry for all those thinking of suicide when he retires
