Now I am treading the line of fire- I am saying, Stoner might have said that at the heat of the moment. He might have felt that the marshalls should have pushed him more.
My point is, the video shows marshalls pushing his bike (around 5-6). They might have left him alone once they entered the danger zone and still his bike didn't start.
If you look at Sic's criticism of marshalls, it has a pattern (both have the new HRC clutch which is rumored to be cause for difficult restarts). The marshalls definitely tried to push him (as can be seen from the video) for some distance. I guess, both Casey and Sic felt wronged by the marshalls as their bikes didn't start but actually, the blame lies in the Honda clutch that takes too much of push to start.
And BTW, from what I understand ( I haven't raced in even club level nor have I marshalled), the job of marshall is to remove riders/ bikes from the danger zone. They may try to start the bike by pushing as it will help moving the bike. But I don't think it is their duty to push it till it starts

You may not believe it, but this actually works! They hacked my best friend's email just 6 months ago and sent an email very similar to yours above to his dad. (The email said he was stuck in the UK without his wallet because it had been stolen and needed money quick). His dad sent 3000 dollars! No .........

Tho I have club raced - it hasn't much bearing on the topic. Technically - if one was to
look at the written agreement between the marshals and mgmt - it in all likelihood
says their responsibility is to deal with safety issues.
On the other hand - I will tell you that my former wife was a corner marshall and worked
at many races both at the club and national levels - and without any question - it has been
tradition for decades to help a rider back onto the track as long as the rider does not appear
to be concussed or otherwise obviously injured - assuming the bike is not leaking fluids or
on fire.
Lastly it's pointless for us mortals to conjecture about rumors and hearsay regarding the
chances of Stoner bump-starting the bike. If Stoner believed it was do-able - it probably
was.

I think Rossi, Stoner, Marco Simoncelli, Ben Spies, and Collin Edwards should all be penalized for handing that sucky rider "The Kentucky Squid" a podium. That really pisses me off, now he even looks better then he really is.
