Seem to remember he took out gibbers once, but i will forgive him for that

And therein is the very thing that people take issue with - when it comes to Ross-fans.

The willingness to forgive Rossi for being an ....... when he does things that other

riders would be crucified for - because he so special. Why the .... should he be

above the law? Why in fact should he not be held to the same standard of ethical

behavior as any other rider?

But stoner had switched his bike off knowing it couldnt be re-started so what the problem?

Who says it couldn't be re-started? Stoner clearly stated in the post-race interview that

if the ....... marshalls weren't all scrambling to get an autograph - they could have

got him back on track.

Read the unwarranted onslaught of abuse i got from them in the race thread. Look at the trolls on this board and see where they come from !! You reap what you sow

Trolls???

Mate, it was you started this ....-... thread.

What ppl haven't said yet is

Rossi is struggling not with the injury etc

he's struggling because as in the past he's

been a master at getting under ppls skin Max,Sete,Dani,Jorge etc

This time Casey,Jorge,Dani have got under HIS Skin

in the past he's had the idea 2004 M1.(Max has wins on that) (I CAN Win a title on that)

This time he's got Ducati

Casey got (Wins & Title) on it

Rossi Ain't going to get anything like the wins/titles on the Duc

CASEY Has well and truely got under his skin

Rossi took the $$££ (Ken-Turkey kid) option and isn't living up to it

The move Rossi did yesterday (I Didn't mean to pass him) < what bollocks that is

was a true bit of despiration if any other rider had done that they would have been before the stewards asap

and every forum posting would be calling for the riders head

The blinkered Rossi bopper fans wont man up and say anything bad against the GUY

Yesterday His Actions and his Actions only spoilt a race that was heading to be a classic

AND Where would we be if Stoner had broken a leg eh ? FFS

The Rossi fans are upset because they missed out on a Jerkin the Gherkin session about 2:15pm yesterday

that was there Hero's fault

Rossi has crossed the line he's not the Racer he once was get over it

i feel sorry for all those thinking of suicide when he retires

Yep the Stoner fiends on here are the smartest people in the universe
<
.

I can tell you're upset, but put this into perspective - Stoner crashed all the time last year, but at least Rossi will develop the Ducati so he's not doing this every other race
<
.

Yeah - that's going to happen any day now. The evidence of his progress is all there for us to see. Plain as day - if yer wearing yellow glasses.

I was talking about i seem to remember STONER knocked Gibbers off numb nutts

So you think Stoner 'made friends' yesterday with his gesture to the marshals and Rossi?

Lets be honest, no matter what he does Stoner will never be more popular than Rossi as much as you might want him to be. He probably doesn't care, but he has the temperament of a pubescent teenager.

If you weren't walking around with your head up your ... you might have noticed, Stoner has never given a .... about

public relations. He's said it in countless interviews: He cares about racing and not looking to be a social butterfly.

Again - you - dragging up non-issues. Do you really think Stoner stays up at night worrying about winning

the admiration of all the petulant little schoolboys who live in hopes of polishing Rossi's bike?

It's not about winning over the all the young guys with their ....-erotic fixation on Rossi - it's about winning races.

There was no damage to my bike," said Stoner. "When I got knocked off, I switched the bike off with the kill switch. Unfortunately with our clutch system we have to have two pins to start the bike normally.

How far are masrshals supposed to push a bike to get it started. I doubt they want to be on the track for to long
<

You don't think jumping over the pitwall and going trackside was reckless? (Oops is that another question..?

)

You're so sensitive it's unreal

If tediousness was deadly - you'd have killed us all a week ago.

Really - go back to Crashnet until your mommy lets you wear long pants.

Keshav,

Just a possibility. I read in many places that the new Honda isn't easily restarted. I also read that either you need to insert two pins (i donno where) or, you need to push it quite a bit. In the videos, I saw some marshals gather around Stoner's bike once Rossi's bike is up.

The sequence of events I can see from multiple watchings of the video are:

1. The marshalls run first to Rossi as he was initially under the bike

2. By the time they reached, Stoner has stood up the bike and we are shown the view through Rossi's butt cam (Which doesn't show how many Marhsalls attended Casey once Rossi also stood up his bike).

3. By the time the camera angle changes to include both riders, I see both Rossi and Stoner mounted on their bikes and being attended by multiple marshalls (Rossi had more marshalls attending).

4. Once both riders are mounted, I don't see any marshall pushing Rossi or Stoner.

5. Rossi starts moving and Stoner calls at the marshalls at which atleast 6 of them run towards him and start pushing. The sequence is cut there

I am not sure the marshalls are to be of much blame. I don't think they gave any special treatment to Rossi from what I saw (If so, Rossi would have been long gone by the time marshalls left both the riders). They obviously didn't know how long they have to push Stoner's bike to restart. I think they gave up once they pushed for some distance (by which any other bike should have started) and decided to drop it as it would be dangerous to remain in the racing line

Steifel, PM me so i can send u address to send ur money. Cash only please.

I'm telling you Ji, what I said is based on the post race interview with Stoner where he clearly stated in unambiguous language that

he could have re-entered the race if the marshalls had done their job.

Yeah, trouble is he is burning himself

Good ol kesh, i cant wait for Laguna

I had trouble finding out your reply as you embedded that into my quoted message

Now I am treading the line of fire
<
- I am saying, Stoner might have said that at the heat of the moment. He might have felt that the marshalls should have pushed him more.

My point is, the video shows marshalls pushing his bike (around 5-6). They might have left him alone once they entered the danger zone and still his bike didn't start.

If you look at Sic's criticism of marshalls, it has a pattern (both have the new HRC clutch which is rumored to be cause for difficult restarts). The marshalls definitely tried to push him (as can be seen from the video) for some distance. I guess, both Casey and Sic felt wronged by the marshalls as their bikes didn't start but actually, the blame lies in the Honda clutch that takes too much of push to start.

And BTW, from what I understand ( I haven't raced in even club level nor have I marshalled), the job of marshall is to remove riders/ bikes from the danger zone. They may try to start the bike by pushing as it will help moving the bike. But I don't think it is their duty to push it till it starts
