He’s looking like Nakano last year with a bit of light from time to time on the Kawasaki!

I can see this, but let’s be fair on Shanghai, Hofmann also was pushed out on Elias’ move!

I mean, after all both were up in the news sometimes until they have gotten Japanese Sponsors, it’s supposed to be the other way around you morons!

PS. Finaly I was able to post it right Frosty!

Ok, here is my race take. Not as late as last race, but ......., there are already over a hundred posts. What do you people do, watch the race then run to the computer? WTF, give a guy a chance living on the left side of the pond. I will post my take then as usual go back and read the thread. Undoubtedly there will be some fodder to reply to.

1. Stoner-brilliant and flawless once again. I haven’t read the posts on this thread, but I bet there are gonna be a bunch of people saying it was the Ducatis speed advantage that got Stoner the win. And of course I will be there to expose it for the ........ it is. The bike doesn’t ride itself, and Casey didn’t make one mistake. He rode brilliant, even with Rossi trying to screw up his rhythm and apply tremendous pressure. He out performed the top contenders and earned a win.

2. Rossi-very good race performance. Only one mistake. But he was able to recover. He made a great tire choice. Ha-ha, I don’t remember who it was, but somebody said he was old news. Nah, not quite yet. He is still the man to beat. (Casey did just that this race) but I have a feeling once Rossi is done with his recent whining campaign, he will be on the top step of the podium a few more times this season. Plus, his fan base needs a boost from that racking they’ve been taking from that foot-in-mouth comment. But really, he will not disappoint his fans cuz he is determined to win, and I can respect that.

3. Hopkins-last week I said hot girlfriends don’t get you podiums, I guess I was wrong. Finally got his time on the step and my ...... Speed channel cuts away during his interview. How’s that for American coverage of an American rider? Anyway, ok, you got the monkey off your back. Now lets get a win or move on to another brand ....... it. To my credit, I think I did predict he would podium.

4. Pedrosa-uhm, I really didn’t notice anything spectacular, but a very solid 4th.

5. Melandri-last week I said it looked like the whining worked. Well this race he confirmed that the whining worked. He gets a respectable 5th after he took his bike out of reverse.

6. Capirossi-I expected so much more from him. Perhaps he had a late night and was on diaper duty. Anyway, if he doesn’t do something dramatic, I’m afraid the sun is beginning to set on his chances of becoming a world champ in the premier class. He’s teammate is beating him first of all, and that’s always bad.

7. Vermuelen-last week a hero, this week a zero.

8. De Puniet-the rims on his bike look cool. They are green as if he were on a Kawasaki, but that’s just my imagination because Kawasaki doesn’t race in MotoGP.

9. Hoffman-look mom, I got another top ten in the race.

10. Checa-nothing to see here, move along.

11. Edwards-uhm, whatever tires your teammate picks…pick those. So when you are way behind, we can simply say you suck and not give you a pass that your tires were to blame. (sorry Burky, I'm just venting because I know he's better than that).

12. Hayden-Wow, after seeing that clip it’s a wonder how he kept up his bike. Even if you’re not a Hayden fan, you gotta be impressed with that. Perhaps if he didn’t slow down in those pesky turns like everybody else in the world he could avoid getting T-boned by guys behind him, eh? Insult to struggling it seems. But interesting, he was just 2 seconds behind the guy with the same bike as Rossi.

13. Guintoli-does anybody really care? Well maybe all those poor fools that paid all of 25 cents to keep you on their fantasy league I guess.

14. Barros-ah, we were deprived of what surely would have been a scrap in the top 5. It’s to bad you made the same mistake as Hayden and slowed down on that first turn.

15. Roberts-I love this team. But really, something’s gotta change. I’m not sure what the excuse is, but somebody settle this for me, in the last two races, were there some 250s clocking better lap time than KR?

Final notes. Elias you fucken reckless ..... you took out Hayden you jerk. Maybe Rossi was right about you, you’re dangerous. (Just kidding). No, I think it was a racing incident. Similar to last race, but this one was his fault no doubt. He ...... up and made a mistake, nothing more. Unfortunately for some other riders, they were collected in the crash. I can’t fault the guy for being aggressive, but certainly he needs to exercise more judgment or patience or both. Somebody needs to pull him aside, pat him on the back for going balls out in the race then tell him the race is several laps long. You don’t need to get to the front on the first turn you ..... Also, man up and call it when you .... up and say it like Jacques did and cop to the mistake. The Rossi base is already calling for you to face the electric chair, the least you can do is admit your mistake in the gracious way OJ did. As for the two Japanese riders, umh, last year in WSBK two Japanese riders took eachother out I too. Perhaps it’s a culture thing about sticking together.

Ok, now I have allot of reading to do.

Don't mind his own post race comments when asked if he delibratly waited to try any pass on rossi util the straigt.
With his biggest grin (and that's pretty big) he said something like Sure, why risk anything when I knew I had the speed and the bike was braking very good. "
The bike take the rider over the straight, the rider take the bike through the corners.
But still, he really had a brilliant race, and as you said didn't crack. Especially I liked the way he kept his cold head and waited Rossi out as Rossi came sliding past him at the end of the straight, turned in behind rossi and got past him on the exit. Great riding.

As I've said in this tread earlier, his biggest achivement ever on a bike, or at least while in motoGP.

Just grid filler anyway, I would never expect him to give me any points.

nah, what he have to do is to realize he did a mistake and learn from that. His comments so far doesn't point in that direction, but maybe he will be more honest to himself than to the press after a few vido replays.

That's a bit harsh... He had an accident on his qualifying hot lap, lost part of his toe and started way back on the grid. He carved his way through heaps of riders to finish just behind cappirossi. Not too bad. If he has some luck I reckon he could be consistent top 5.

LMAO yes totally agree, after praising Elias' balls last time out, this was deffo bad judgement but hey ho that's racing. It'll be someone else next time.

Stoner, well brill race, Rossi didn't rattle him and he tried so hard, can't fault Rossi for taking it to him in the style we know and love. Well done Hopper hope to see more podiums from him too.

Oops, sorry man, I didn't know about the toe. Ok, I'll revise my take.

Vermulen-last race hero, this race toeless zero. Suck it up man, your countryman Bayliss is running without a finger and a left nut, and he just pulled off a win against Toes-land (no pun intended). Haha, that worked out nicely. Damn, I'm pretty witty.

God Jumkie, thats about as tasteful as the old "Darryl Feetie" jokes

(Darryl Beattie lost all the toes on one foot in an accident in 94 for anyone baffled by that statement)
