Stoner just went 1st

seconds before

track is closed. He's

done a 2.00171 to

go 0.058s clear of

Dani. Battle of the

Repsol rocketships

today

So according to most of his fans, Rossi has sand in his ...... (just like Casey did), it must be something on the seat of that bike. Perhaps the faster you go the worse it gets, hence Rossi missing a few hours and Casey missing a few months.

According to posters on the sepang test thread on crashnet, which I read for amusement like (for Australian participants) the Sydney Daily Telegraph, valentino is lumbered with the carbon fibre chassis due to casey stoner, who demanded that ducati replace the trellis frame chassis with it because he wanted an ultra stiff chassis.

Aha! He knew Rossi was coming to Ducati and sabotaged him two years in advance! Hehehe

So Pedrosa didn't improve his time since this mornings fast lap. Look forward to seeing the lap charts for the top riders to see if anyone can be as consistently fast as Stoner was yesterday as this is the true stat that will tell us where people are at.

Yup. He's the man. Stoner looks like his 2007 version again, with the difference that now his teammates are much closer.

Maybe Hondas are shining so much also because of the ferocious internal competition, all its riders are pushing as if their lives depended on it.

Hmmmm. Sounds like you are endorsing some Suppo-esque psychology?

They do look strong though. Can't wait to see the full times. Appreciate you digging them up from day 1.

Never mind Crash.net, but also according to Furusawa CF is too stiff (even at its softest) for motorcycle applications. I have immense respect for Furusawa, and for his honesty (I do not think he'd say that if he didn't believe it). I would not be surprised if the first big change on the Ducati be the ditching of the CF in favor of aluminum -- Preziosi is on record saying they will stick to CF, but the man is also very pragmatic.

Stoner is a rider of unparalleled guts and speed, and we all love him for that. He may lack something in sensitivity, which could explain why he loves an extra stiff bike and is prone to push the limit a bit too much. On the other hand, that may be an advantage as long as the bike can take his punishment without going wheels up.

yep it prob BS, the honda is just the best bike out there

It is BS, Italian media looking for a reason why Casey is so fast. Honda have not developed parts for testing that could not legally be raced.

Like Suppo said, get the best riders and your bike appears to be the bst. It's working already, he'll be chuffed if this carries into the racing

one high profile ex

Easy, ohhh
<
. That was just a rumor reported by one site, and it was not complaining about foul play but just expressing legitimate curiosity about it. Of course if Honda implements something it will be within the rules, this does not rule out that they may have found a legal way of implementing a DCT-like solution. Also remember that in Italy there are a lot of Stoner fans, even if he does not ride for Ducati any more -- and do not forget that there are two Italians in the Honda squadron. And many Italians in HRC...

Ok let me rephrase then. A media outlet from Italy falsley reporting that HRC may not be in accordance to the rules, coinciding with Casey Stoner (HRC's fastest rider) being significantly faster than Italy's most popular rider, who rides for an Italian team. Make of it what you will.

It reminds me of when the 2007 Ducati had a 'secret' fuel tank

Much the same happened when Stoner first went to Ducati didn't it? Wasn't there calls for engine capacity checks on the Duc. and rumours of hidden fuel tanks ...... its just the boppermedia pandering to the boppers, and they lap it up

I was under the impression that those complaints were more a result of the Japanese manufacturers surprise and refusal to accept that they were so far behind.
