Sachsenring predictions, practice, quali

Lets see what Hayden does on it when he gets it for the next race. It clearly isn't working with the 800cc engine, it never was going to work with that engine so why did the technicians and everyone else at Ducati honestly think it would? I honestly do not understand why they say that Prezioso is a genius, the Duc is not a good bike.

Beacaus rossi liked the 1000cc and he was sick of being embarrassed because he couldn't win on the 800 after minute adjustments like he said last season? so they took a chance.

rossi will do better in the race, him being the highest placing duc tomorrow wont surprise me.

I really really hope Rossi and Ducati goes seperate ways by end of the season. Its too sad to watch, and all the fricking Ducati flags everywhere makes it worst!

I call all Rossi fans to ditch the red colours and go back to blue-yellow 46!

I said it last year Rossi is very simillar to Melandri as a rider.

Going to Ducati was a crazy move.

Ducati need to hire Vermulen and Westy ......... the only riders out there that seem to cope with the Agricultural Ducati are Bumpkins, ie. Aussies.

Rossi to WSBK and get Vermi and West fast to help keep Ducati in the series.

If they keep going like this they will go bust.

AT the end of the day every person who rides the Ducati, accept Stoner who rode it like he was going to crash every corner, has major trouble with it. It's a dog, has always been a dog so I for one wouldn't be sad to see them leave the sport.

Nick needs to walk over to Hector and punch him sqwar in the eye.

Casey hasn't had a good wack at anyone this weekend yet, he must be feeling up for it so Hayden could just ask Casey to give him a wack or two.

Damn, a move to Suzuki would have been better.

Yes he's broken, maybe he should take four races out to 'recover'.

To be honest he looks gaunt and sickly...like Stoner he may be suffering from DMIS (Ducati Mystery Illness Syndrome) and a 4 week fishing trip would do him the world of good at the moment.

I think it is a huge stretch to say "it was never going to work with that engine". It is the 2012 engine just de-stroked. It is also rumoured that Ducati will be running somewhere around 900-930cc in 2012 so I hardly believe that 100-130cc is enough to render a chassis 2nd last on the grid.

What I think is more realistic is that Rossi was never going to work with the Ducati. Rossi requires a bike that is refined and easy to ride and the Ducati has never been and looks like never will be that type of bike. I think it is becoming highly likely that we will not see Rossi in MotoGP next year. He will have a get out clause in his contract and unfortunately for him he has no where left to go in MotoGP as all the bridges are burned.

I was wondering about this, how good would it be if next year Rossi goes to say BMW or another new CRT team. It would certainly legitimise the CRT idea and may even make it interesting as a class within a class.

holidays are for people that get the job done

if rossi could win at least a race or two this season they'd tell him to stay home for 6 races immediatly

this looks really bad, he should be the top ducati rider . looks like the gp12 is actually worse than the gp 11 ,how a bigger engine that makes the bike even more difficult to turn should solve that is beyond all logic to me, if turning the bike is still the problem and he's not able to do it with the throttle like stoner does/did.

glad to see dani back, i hope hes strong enough for the race and we have a nice fight between stoner, lorenzo and him

What a ........

He wouldn't be lower on the grid then he is now. As I said in the CRT thread, these teams need quality riders who have raced GP's and know what a GP bike needs. I think Rossi would kill it on a Moto1 bike I think they will be more rider responsive then the full on GP bikes are.

Neil Spalding has commented that the 800cc is a completely different fitment within the chassis than the 1000cc. Also the 2004 Yamaha was a complete pig of a bike to ride but Rossi won a championship on it, so how does he only like a bike which is refined and easy to ride? Rossi is used to how Japanese bikes ride, handle etc as he was riding them for over 15 years and the Ducati, as Spalding has said, rides like no other motorbike.
