Rossi may leave COTA leading the championship. I can picture Marquez letting his ambition outweigh his talent. Vinales will cleanly pass him, but when Marquez attempts to retake the position, he will go into a corner hot, hit a bump and lose the front taking out himself and Vinales.

Actually on the final lap it looked like Rossi might of brake checked Marquez. No wait a minutes it's just Marquez was going that much faster it looked like Rossi was a speed bump. Did you see how much ground he made up in 2 corners alone? Amazing.

.... I loved that qual. From the moment it started and dumb ... Harris commented Marquez had lost confidence. He was dumbstruck at the end and all he could manage was 'and Rossi is on the front row'. Just 1 second behind. Marquez to me is far from feeling threatened by Vinales. The way he is reacting, he relishes the challenge. He needs Vinales and the two of them will push their riding into true alien territory imo, with Zarco ready to join them.

Maverick has the first moment with Rossi. Naturally the footage doesn't show but obviously Rossi saw him coming and dawdled on the race line. Interesting this comes after Vinales was spotted out with Lorenzo. Wonder what they talked about. I know what comes next. Rossi will say Vinales claims to have had my poster in his room but it's all lies, he doesn't worship me he hates me and wants to steal the throne. To which the minions will add him to the list.

Btw Lorenzo would have made a much better showing if the Ducati still had the winglets. Banning them put the Duc much farther behind than is being recognised, the gp15 designed without winglets is said to be more sorted than the gp16 and 17. Lorenzo won't quit they will figure it out eventually.

You've completely misinterpreted my post. I want Vinales or Rossi to win, but I can picture Marquez getting very aggressive and taking out Vinales. Just because I want Vinales to beat Marquez and end his COTA win streak, doesn't make him immune to Murder Mac.

Despite taking up more bandwidth on here, than teenage creampie vids on .... sites, Rossi is largely irrelevant in the championship game and has been for many years. Barring multiple unfortunate events like 2015, he is nothing more than Pedrosa with more fans

He's only 14 points behind Vinales and he convincingly won Jerez last year. I agree that Rossi will need some luck on his side (so does anyone who hopes to win this year), but he's far from irrelevant in the championship. Rossi has far better chances to win the championship this year than Hayden had in '06.

Pedrosa is already trailing MV by 39 points. He cannot be compared to Rossi.

Rossi's pace in free practice sessions has been fairly poor, but his qualifying (and race results) so far have been solid.

Let me try something different. Marquez may end up taking out Rossi instead of Vinales.

Ok, I think I can somewhat follow your logic now. You think I want Vinales to be taken out. I wasn't stating what I wanted to happen, I was stating what I could picture/imagine happening.

The highlight of the session for me was Mav shaking his head at Rossi. Mav is a no ..... given type. He quit a team once, I have no doubt he gives two ..... who Rossi is. But I think Mav is a hothead and doesnt do well in those situations. Unproven I know, but we shall see.

Maybe Vinales is as close as we will see what it would have been like if rossi had not chucked a hissy when there was talk of Yamaha hiring Stoner ....

He gets tires over night. Any chance there is a wall sunday morning? Possibly would have seen the other rider retire if that had happen.
