Yep, If he loses Mugello he`s lost the championship. It`ll be like Sete at Jerez. Lose in front of the home crowd and the pain stays with you for a year or more.
If they can get the bike to work and Rossi wins the next round he`s in with a chance. Pedrosa`s still only a rookie, Hayden`s allergic to winning and Capirossi has to deal with Bridgestones. Rossi can beat them if he gets it together, but Melandri is gonna fly this season. He`s the real threat, like last year. Not that there was any stopping Rossi last year. Rossi needs his luck to turn around. His Yam's having all sorts of problems. If his luck turns, It`ll be a close battle for the crown but I think he and Melandri will be the top 2 contenders. That`s if his luck turns and he wins Mugello. If not, he`s finished for this year, with a string of lead crash outs and technical problems that will have a certain individual in the Ducati pit smiling with irony. And he might be finished for the rest of his career. Like Skid said he`s never really had it tough, so he might not know how to deal with it. It all depends on his luck, the bike, and Mugello
