Rossi fans burn Marc Marquez dummy/apparel

I am royally gutted that the paranoid schizophrenic Moanhino is now the manager of my favourite club. His style of play that he coaches is not in the United dna. Bad decision, should have stuck with LVG.

Because LGV embodied the United way???

So you're a United fan and a Rossi fan Daniboy?

. I have no faith in Race Direction, and frankly Rossi is aware of his massive influence, especially at Mugello.

I have no doubt Rossi was trying to cause a red flag, rolling the dice, forcing the incompetent hand of Race Direction. God know Rossi doesn't give a .... about rider safety.

That is why twice prior to this, I have said he was lining up Lorenzo for the kick. Frustration would have set in just like Sepang. How many times have we heard location, location in life matters??? If anybody think Race Direction would have acted they are surely mistaken. The usual mob after the race would have happened during the race on the track. Read the Mike Scott quote!

What year was it when the back stage scuffle with Biaggi took place?
I remember Biaggi emerged with scratches on his face. For those who don't know, It was rossi & his cronies.

Ah I see. Burning a fellow competitor in effigy, on what looks like a Salem gallow, a noose around the neck set on fire to a cheering crowd, was just a fashion statement. Got it buddy, thanks for the perspective. I think I was getting carried away then.

It was just "symbolism"....ah got it.

Symbolism is how the viewer perceives it. I see that as raucous fun.
Whats the symbolism behind that giant mustache Geraldo? Is it symbolizing we all keep calm? Is it a symbol for all hipsters to unite in skinny jean glory. It could symbolize many things depending on how you trim it. .... star, harley rider, dastardly cartoon villain, fireman, 80's latino movie extra, genocidal leader, serial ..... eater

What it symbolizes for me is a comfortable resting spot for Vales nuts, which permanently reside on your face and cloud your vision. In the end, its all up to the viewers interpretation of what their seeing, because in reality its just untrimmed hair growing out of your face.

The burning is just a couple of guys having a laugh and entertaining the crowd but you choose to see it as Benghazi 2.0.
Jerry, your perception of reality is about as real as Capones vault

1 No LVG is not the right man to lead United to former glories but he is better than Mourhino .
2 Favourite club and favourite rider. I rooted for your team to win the title this year though, and I got into GP way before Rossi and I'll be watching it when he's gone too. Make of that what you will.

Not from Manchester then.

Surely your 'view' was obstructed by extremes this weekend, Saturday was all about .... in your eyes, one epic circle jerk, 9TimesDick in your face, sadly the party from the pole up your ... came to a screeching (actually, smoking) halt, replacing the burning in your eyes by tears on Sunday.

I assume your talking about the infamous incident at Catalunya 01.

I have surely woke up in the middle of Jackanory, is it a competition to see who can make up the most outlandish story, what's the prize?

I really lol'd reading this.

Lol. You people are pathetic. This was a harmless campfire gag. None of you have ever had a few cocktails and lit something up at the campsite?
There's only two heroes committing this act and you fools talk like its a hundred thousand pitchfork wielding barbarians.
You would have thought this was hilarious if it was Stoner fans burning Vale, or Hayden fans burning the little Honduran.

I just figured this place out. Motogpforum is where Fox News Anchors go in their down time. I've never seen so many fake outrage stories. Michael M is old sour puss, Brit Hume. JPS is blustering bully, Bill Orielly. Jumkie is Geraldo Rivera, all mustache, no substance. 22 of course is Meghan Kelly. The only thing she's good for is .... to the face.
Vale is the Benghazi of this forum. A story wholly fabricated out of fear and anger to vilify their opponent.
Just like Fox News, you create a fake story about the impending doom of society. You get lunatics on the extreme right or left of the topic shouting at each other.
LOL. The real story is, if it wasn't for a blown engine most of you wouldn't be posting right now.
.... on your face fuckers, and if I ever see 22, I will make sure to .... in his eye

This poster is a man so smart that he quite often successfully fools himself.

My new remit prevents me from entering into discussion about ridiculous theories about unprovable intent probably fuelled by hallucinogens. Instead I will keep shtum and quietly wee myself.

So Valentino took hallucinogens leading up to that Sepang press conference? That would explain much.

agreed on almost every point you made there. and ive mentioned he has every reason to be upset, as you so perfectly put it even more than marquez. but the guy is being affected by it and being annoyed, i think we had some sort of similar discussion last year about why the fk is he saying those things and getting himself involved (he wasnt the champion yet), he could avoid lots of these hostilities, after all in this matter he is facing a much stronger opponent, and " if your opponent is superior ,evade him, if equally matched, fight". the sensible thing would be blocking every single attempt from the crowd and they grow tired.

i made that post reading some posts about football and few incident came to mind that some of those athletes remove themselves from those situation by just ignoring and going about their business. Alan Shearer was receiving some of the worst reception from the crowd specially against bolton (not sure but i think it was at wembley) and he was the englands captain, but he kept quiet. David Beckham was being booed at almost every stadium by the whole English crowd after his incident with Diego Simeone in england vs argentina WC 1998, what did he do? went on and had probably one of the best season of his career. man utd fans were booing cristiano ronaldo (their own player) for his incident with rooney (England vs Portugal) which he practically did nothing wrong ( just working for his teams advantage and getting rooney sent off) again, what happened there, he had such a good season that the crowd had to shut up eventually,

of course rossi can help the situation but when he isnt lorenzo for his own sake can stop making it worse.
Easy, he doesn't want Rossi to beat him, in races, for titles or nonsensical media "mind games".

I applaud him for not acceding to all this, and not accepting that a football hooligan approach should be transferred to gp bike racing. He is now the primary victim rather than MM demonstrating what all the fuss is really about, him depriving the holy goat of the 10th championshi, as Jumkie says, and he has no obligation to mollify anyone imo. Winning the championship again is his best revenge.

These "fans" just disgust me. Im a fan of Rossi as well but im fan of ALL the rider. Im just a Moto gp fan.

These Rossi fans especially in Italy are without any respect for the other riders or the sport in general.

It really hurts me to see a beautifull sport like this being ruined trough ignorance.

Im a relatively new GP fan. This is my 4 th season watching and i ask you. Was this always the case? Has it grown worse?
Do you think the sport will change big time when Rossi retires.

Just wanted to share the video. Absolutly disgusting...

Getting back to the OP's original question,'Was this always the case?',it certainly didn't happen back in the 80's when i started attending GP's,i never heard any riders being booed back then, these Rossi fan's are plastic GP supporters who just worship 'stars' as they don't have a life of their own, hopefully when their hero retires they will all .... off somewhere else and go back to tossing off over Justin Bieber.
