Rossi fans burn Marc Marquez dummy/apparel

Gravity,

Don't take offense to the banter and tone sometimes used. It is often said that to survive here you need a thick skin:

The definition of thick skinned is someone who is not easily upset or insulted and who can take criticism well. An example of thick skinned is a person who is insulted and simply says "whatever, I don't care."

Sometimes the language used can be a bit strong, but don't forget you are dealing with passionate people who are characters. Most here have an extrememly strong passion for bike racing, which is why we are all here as (mostly) like minded individuals. The .... you refer to is from what we call 'Rossi Boppers', who come here expecting this to be a place where Rossi is revered just as he is in their own heads, and when they find out that isn't the case, they resort to lack of decency as you have noted.

Of course we aren't blameless, nearly everyone here has sometimes dropped to a level they shouldnt have when baited into an argument, but I like to think that we all, regardless of opinions, share a passion for bike racing.

If you stick around I think you'll find it's a frank forum, but one that is incredibly educating.

Very well put you twunt.
On a different note, some people on the board take themselves far too seriously and have no idea how banter works, which may be their problem with me:?:

Correction. The .... you refer to is the copious amounts of orgasmic goo that spews from the mouths of these haters who only watch the sport to regoice in the failings of the greatest rider motogp has ever seen.
22 who's real name is Meghan only exists in this space to slag off Rossi. Look at his signature. He's quoting another members anti Rossi dribble. How pathetic is that. I feel bad for these fake fans. They watch races only because they want to see Rossi fail. As soon as he retires they will stop watching because they only exist to despise greatness

It's a little bit sad from the Rossi fans, isn't it?

They haven't turned up to see a race but rather some kind of pilgrimage to worship at the feet of someone that seemingly they'd prefer to just race around any empty circuit to ensure a victory.

Unfortunately they confuse their blind faith in the man as passion, when in reality it's unsightly fanaticism.

Nice try Talps/Whatever name you go by these days.

Notice I don't have a username that sucks up to 1 particular rider, nor have I posted anything about a certain rider having a load of .... for us tomorrow. I watched when Rossi wasn't racing and I will continue to do so when he leaves as I love the sport.

You on the other hand, only seem to love Rossi's semen in your mouth.

there's supporting an athlete and then there's the let's toss each other off hero worship that all you sad ....... no life Rossi jerk offs engage in,no,i don't purchase or wear sports merchandise like all you yellow twats, and lastly i stopped having hero's when i started to grow pubic hair, get a life of your own you sad ....... and stop living off other people's glories.

Are you my brother? LOL. I have dozens of event shirts from GP and AMA superbike, but in the 45 years of following bike racing, i have bought 1 shirt with an athletes likeness on it, and that was Nicky's 2007 championship t shirt. I take that back, some of the older event T's have the likeness of 3-4 riders on them but sadly greed took that away and now we get generic images. I am wearing a 2015 RedBull Indy GP hat as we speak. Come to think of it, i guess thats the last time i saw some of the guys from here. I am truly going to miss that event and the meet ups. Anywho, the morale of the story is, I am a bike fan, thats my passion, not drooling over some dude who wouldnt piss in my ear if my brain was on fire. I have had 2 heroes in my life, Neil Armstrong when i was a little boy, actually named my son after him, and my dad. He didnt change the world or do anything special except be a great dad. Im with you, people need to get a life.

Thank you for your reply on the content. I hope fans will regain respect again soon. These riders deserve it. Anyone achieving something a form of respect. Dont like it then just shut it and let others cheer.

On another note I wonder why so many amongst you lack the decency off aproaching one another with your opinion in an adult way instead of immediatly going to childish name calling and reffering to .... every 2 sentences..

Not calling anyone out since im here to discuss the moto gp but im just wondering. Btw sorry for appaling english but tryin my best
Your right Grav, I did get carried away. Sorry for highjacking your thread. I had been ignoring "9timesGod" but yesterday I was just in the mood for a bit of banter. I do actually prefer debate.

Don't be discouraged, stick around. Obviously we all have our side of the argument, sometimes we put forth well thought out posts to support debate. And yes, often we lower ourselves to the trolls levels, as I did yesterday. It's part of this forum, it has diamonds and turds. You can skip over posts rather easily to sift through the crap. There is also an "ignore" feature for our worst offenders. Most people will engage you in the same manner you engage them, so honestly I think you won't have a problem. Again, my apologies for my digression, though I admit, I do get a bit of fun and entertainment from trading barbs with members, which means you'll often see me doing it. But I really do prefer debate.

Lol. You Hijack every thread with anti Rossi blather. You cant ignore my facts can you? Just like you cant ignore Rossi's unparalled talent in the modern era.
Gravity, what do all crazy people have in common? None of them realize their crazy. This place is an insane asylum. Someone needs to put Pyewoman in a rubber room. He's having a fit of hysterics, all over a sport! Im starting to worry about him.... Lol no i'm not.
David Emmet, a well respected GP journalist recently started a thread mocking you people for being nutjobs but none of you recognize your sickness.
Gravity get out now before they infect you with Deranged Rossi Syndrome

You're correct, I do post here too much.

What points would you like to debate? So far all you've done is take shots and digs, which in your defense some are moderately funny. But other than that not much substance. Would you like to carry out a debate, make logical arguments, and support your position with well thought out points? We've done most points of contention to death here, but I'm always up for a rehash.

What is so nuts or crazy? Allow me then to appeal to your sensible side, engage me in debate! I promise not to go ad hominem and debate you in open good faith discourse. You have the upper hand, as my position is in the vast minority. Most people in MotoGP are Rossi fans, such as yourself '9TimeGod', who believe Rossi's record was achieved on a level playing, unaided by preferential treatment or influence, and that last year was a watershed moment where Rossi was cheated out of a title that he otherwise would have "won".

Your position is that the aftermath of open disrespect toward Marquez and Lorenzo is par for the course and is being over sensationalized, like Fix news. (Which I find rather fascinating, given Dorna and this sport's media often seem like an extension of one entity, quite typical of Fix news). It doesn't surprise me you'd be for the general tone of the media, after all it's Rossi-centric overwhelmingly most of the time. Except that odd moment where a journalist won't wax lathering worship for Rossi, then the Yellow Hordes bombard the journalists with hate. Just look at the reaction to Randy Mamola who wrote a piece on why Lorenzo left Yamaha. Speaking of which, Krops is an asset to this site, and he participates freely as we all do. You may want to re-read that thread again, I don't think one member was suckered or bamboozled, except maybe one, oddly enough he sounds very much like you.

So let's engage in honest open debate then 9TimeGod. What is the first point you'd like to contend?

This applies to cult members in particular of course.

What you have on here is a small corner of the Internet which takes issue with the guy who disrespected 2 riders who have in fact won 9 titles between them themselves, raised a ludicrous conspiracy theory about them, and who has tacitly encouraged the substantial cult element among his fandom in a continuing campaign of vilification against those riders. If you want to talk of people being reality challenged, attempting to make the victims in all this the guilty parties would seem to qualify.

As opposed to some, I don't deny Rossi's greatness as a rider, but the events of late season 2015 have cast his character in sharp relief for me, and I now regard him as fully complicit in the persecution of every significant rival he has ever had, having previously blamed the aforementioned cult element among his fandom mainly. If he does achieve the 10th title ( David Emmett whom you mentioned seemed amused when I suggested Rossi was on the verge of calling the prospective 10th title "my precious") he will be a great rider with 10 titles instead of 9 but will remain of more than questionable character for me.

Ok. Lets debate. It my contention that 22 likes loads to the face. In this regard I may be incorrect. Their is a high probability he prefers loads in his ........ In your opinion, do you believe he is getting buggered or blasted.

Your problem all along is that when you attempted to parody an over the top Rossi fan you only succeed in mimicking one, and you now reveal what is typical of your ilk ie criticism of Rossi is for you a deeply personal insult to you yourself to be answered in kind. You still have not in your more serious moments advanced any arguments against what 22 and others contend.

As I said, winning 9 titles in no way precludes Rossi from being of questionable character or from having crazy fans.
