Rossi does not attend award presentation

Rossi would have been better off just letting Marquez stay in front of him in Malaysia and take 4th place instead of doing what he did.
He screwed himself.

"If Rossi doesn't retreat from this display of hubris he's going to exit the sport - whenever that may occur - a lesser person than we would all prefer to remember."
Not my words. Pulled the quote but very apropos I think.

A lesser person in the eyes of some. Not at all for many of his fans.

FIM are ........ for holding these awards a few hours after a tight battle with no time for a 'mourning' period for the loser if you know what I'm talking about. FIA holds their awards ceremony 1-2 weeks after the last race. VR at least has some integrity and there really was no point in going to put on a fake smiles, fake interviews and give fake handshakes to Jorge, especially after his hate filled tirade against him at the post race press conference in Sepang, which I found way over the top considering he was not even involved in the incident.

True enough.
But it hasn't appeared to stop the runners-up attending in previous years. Poor Rossi must be especially sad.

Hahaha, this is hilarious. He needs a morning period. Hahaha. Nothing is safe from rationalizations. However weak. Are you familiar with the concept of graciousness in defeat? He didn't show up, because like you, he thinks he was cheated. Which is rich given the advantages he has enjoyed his entire MotoGP career.

Jorge has a vested interest all the competitors don't go into meltdown and start deliberately punting riders into crashes over a PERCEIVED too hard racing.

Again blind disciple. VR says whatever no matter how asinine and his words are gospel. JLo says what's on his mind while emotions are running high and he's an ... and hate filled.

This much, I agree with but suspect that it is all about cost and availability as you have all team members and riders at the location and available given that the majority will then be working the next day at the test session

This much, no agreement.

What are you babbling about, go re-read what I posted. That is pretty much what I was saying. These were not normal circumstances. Call it graciousness, anger or a sore loser, there was no point in being social and happy when it he didn't want to be.

VR said what was on his mind, he said it in a humorous voice tone, laughing and smiling as he was saying it in front of the everyone. VR also was not the only rider who agreed and said the same thing (Iannone) Funny thing is, they 4 were all laughing and smiling as well. Jorge was hate filled, with no smile, angry voice tone spitting bullets when he was not even directly involved. The joke of this had he went, the MM boppers would be first to call him out for being fake and spin it around.

Humorous tone? For reals?
So then VR was just joking around then. Haha funny I get it now . Thanks for pointing that out

Sorry, but there are normal circumstances as the championship has been decided in the last race previously.

What may not be normal is the sheer petulance of the lead up and given that this petulance started at a certain press conference on Thursday, your man is not immune from having greatly contributed to the petulant and toxic atmosphere of the last few weeks.

It does indeed display as a poor loser, just as failure to attend podium ceremonies have been in the past whether through upset emotions or upset stomach (up until Sepang where it was considered 'acceptable')

Wrong.

He was dragged into the situation by one Mr Valentino Rossi by being named in a conspiracy theory at the Sepang Thursday press conference and as such, he was involved through no wish of his own.

Lorenzo has every right to be disappointed and peeved at having been dragged into the situation but is also the ONLY one to apologise for any of his actions since the aforementioned press conference. The fact he hast he self measure to apologise actually says a lot more about his ethics and morals, then does failure to apologise whilst throwing all and sundry under a bus

I know that's what you're saying, I'm disagreeing with you. He wasn't cheated of .....

So, what did you mean with your comment that you partly "own" this place?

It's true, he never acted like this when he lost to Nicky, or Casey. He was cheated out of this years title, after putting in so much work to come back from the ducati days. He was probably too upset to put on a fake smile at the awards.

I would do the same.

Rossi wasn't cheated out of ..... He LOST the title himself. He decided to play mind games like he always has, and it bit him in the ....

I hope he's learned how to not be a prick.... But I don't think that's going to happen.....

Maybe you and he could go to the same class?

Yeah I do, I lived in Britain most of my life and I hate the ......s there as well..... I'm here for my benefit thanks mate, I don't have to like the Spanish, it's not a popularity contest..... Same goes for this forum full of ....... morons with big gobs and insults.............

Oh the irony....

This is what I've said. I was disappointed in JLo for the 'thumbs down' gesture, but he has been the ONLY ONE who has apologised for his acrions at Sepang. Rossi saying he regretted pushing MM wide is more "I regret getting punished"

And you fall for that fake ....?, REALLY?. How ....... dumb do you have to be to NOT see through the fake laughter and smiles when Rossi is pissed. You think he is happy and joking around with Carmelo when the 2 were having their little post game chat i suppose. Jesus Christ, we have been telling people for over a decade how fake that POS is. REALLY.

More tongue in cheek. Canadian taxpayers own almost 50% of Dorna (and F1) through the Canada Pension Plan. I thought you guys would pick up on this one...

First of all, calm the .... down. No need to be a rude prick just because I don't happen to share your fanatical, out of control hate for VR.

Obviously he wanted to get his point across and of course he was being serious and believed in what he was saying. I'm just saying the way he presented it was not with anger or vitriolic and it was done with in a humorous way that got his message across. No one seemed to react with bitterness and everyone was laughing including the media. Heck, even I found it quite funny.

You can spin it any way you like I don't care but I saw people laughing and I did not see one dirty look or angry comment/insult from anyone. Chalk that up next to JL's post race presser, angry voice tone, vitriol laced comments, hands going up and down. God damn baby wasn't even involved. Same presser, look at DP's comments, totally composed got his message across neutral and with class.

Ah I see. Canadians are cool, but u seem to be the exception, ha!

Dude, from your first exchange with me you have been rude and insulting, calling me a "......" and so forth. And I have yet to return the favor. And I've done this on purpose, because I want to draw you in on exchanges. As I've said, it's no fun without having a person to argue with, and your takes are gold for me. So let's not get all sensitive now with Pov. He's addressing you exactly how you have addressed others.

(With the exception, I have yet to really insult you. Again by design. Because I quite enjoy engaging you. For, well, obvious reasons.)

Povols point still stands, and that is Rossi tried to play it off masked around a facade. A rather easy one to unmask. The point being he is a fake. UNLIKE Lorenzo, who chose to make his comments directly, without the ........ crutch of making it sound humorous when in fact Rossi’s comments were as piercing as a dagger in the back.
