Rossi does not attend award presentation

Rossi is bush league . What else can he do to tarnish his legacy? Somebody in the Rossi camp needs to grab the bull by the horns and stop his free fall from grace. I don't know what he expects to accomplish with this little tantrum, but whatever it is, it's not going to change anything

Rossi is trying to turn the paddock, fans, press and the other participants against JL and MM. He's done this before btw. This time however, I think it does more to diminish his standing and his accomplishments than it does damage to the other two. It's incredibly poor form. Rossi was beaten this year in just about ever metric by his teammate on similar machinery. Poles, wins, fastest laps, laps led.....everything.

He had a great season and challenged for the championship against the best competition he's ever faced. If it weren't for his behavior over that last 3 weeks I'd say he has nothing to be ashamed of. Instead, he looks childish nearing the end of his career.

THIS.

Rossi fans are most definitely not disappointed about it! MM AND JL are 2 Spanish ....... ......s with zero charisma and ...... Vale over, who gives a .... about a plastic fake runners up medal? I'm sure Vale would happily turn up had he lost the title fair and square....

He knows Lorenzo has better pace, but consistency and consecutive podium finishes and riding in all conditions is also what championships are about.......!!! I'm sure Vale had better things to do tonight than sit there with blood boiling know what could have been.

Spanish corrupt ....... disgrace .... fest, .... that!!!

More eloquent and dignified posts from you 'Harry'...has that blood vessel burst yet?

:giggle:

Absolutely no problem with Valentino winning by being more consistent, or better in the wet, over the whole season. He got his lead by fair means.

However, in the end Jorge's qualifying and early lap pace and the last 3 races being dry cost him. As MM said, it was Jorge he needed to beat at PI, not him. If he could have stayed with Jorge early at PI and Sepang what MM might choose to do would have been irrelevant, and as I have said Jorge's early race prowess is no less legitimate an advantage than VR being better in the wet. He did get his lead partly through quite a few riders other than him wilfully interfering with Jorge's title aspirations. It is pure conjecture not least from him that he might have been able to catch Lorenzo at the end of any of these races anyway.

I don't have much problem with him in a moment of bitter disappointment sending a representative to collect the runner's up medal. Continuing recriminations particularly about this race are both pointless and demeaning imo, particularly since it was he through his own actions and words who irrevocably changed how the last 2 races would be run and the perception of same.

Rossi brought himself in this situation. Of he wouldn't have kicked MM out of track, he would have started in the front in Valencia and he would only have depended on himself for the title. If he would shut up against MM in press conferences and accuse him of helping JL, he wouldn't have had any problems with MM. His lack of emotional intelligence has ...... him over.

There ya go: we can be part of the solution. Calling MICHAEL Cheika!
Sometimes it is difficult to understand native English speakers. Don't know if you are agreeing with me or mocking me.

But it is a fact that you can't expect to .... over your competitors and then afterwards demand they will help you and get angry if they .... you over. Rossi is delusional. If you make enemies, then don't get surprised when they start a war with you. Rossi was MM's idol. From idol to his number 1 enemy, that is how far Rossi got Marquez. And he is only making it worse with his post race statements yesterday in which he again destroyed bot Marquez and Lorenzo.

Just trying to lighten things up a bit...

You know what they say ... in business EQ is often more important than IQ. You need to know how to behave towards people to get the most of out it for yourself. What Rossi did was plain stupid.

He made a very big mistake. In the past he had almost always only 1 direct competitor that could more or less match his pace. So he could play mindgames with that guy. But those days are over. He has now 3 competitors: JL, MM and DP. If you start mindgames with all 3, you shoot yourself in the foot with a bazooka.

That's exactly what he did by starting mindgames with Marquez. Very very dumb of him. Marquez had nothing to lose anyway. Moreover, Marquez is the current best rider in MotoGP. How can Rossi be so stupid to start the provocation of a rider that is faster than him and at the same time has nothing to lose in the championship anymore ? If he would just have shut up against Marquez, it would have been very possible that Rossi would have been the current world champion. Not only that, but he even attacked Honda, Lorenzo. Seriously, he behaved like an internet troll and got his payback for it.

It's true, he never acted like this when he lost to Nicky, or Casey. He was cheated out of this years title, after putting in so much work to come back from the ducati days. He was probably too upset to put on a fake smile at the awards.

I would do the same.

I lost to Nicky because someone switched my tires.

I lost to Casey because his bike was a rocket ship.

I lost to Lorenzo because of Marquez.

They asked Marquez during the awards ceremony when he received his third place metal, what have you learned from this season. He replied, This is the first year I have struggled. I have learned from the suffering, to become more consistent. I have learned that win or bin is not the best way.
