Rossi: Broken Tibia?

Well .... happens & it even happens to Rossi..no one is invincible not even Rossi or anyone else…so when all the posts here ‘label’ certain riders as ‘crashers’ they should remember that most of the best riders in motogp or 500’s have crashed and have had serious injuries and some fatalities and disabling injuries…so plz motogp is a dangerous sport & if ure equipment is not or cant be up to scratch then this happens…or most of the time ‘It’s Rider Error’ and that is what it was with the legend Mr. Rossi! Nothing more and nothing less!

Scotty u my friend are a ....... ....... Everything you say is correct - all riders fall and get injured. The part that makes you a ....... ...... is that the fact that Rossi HADN'T had a crash in which he was injured enough to miss a race for OVER 14 YEARS racing in 125s, 250s, 500s or 800s. That is ....... AMAZING yet you seem to sweep this incredible accomplishment under the table... Dumb is as dumb types.

you surley seems to know PS a bit more than a fan knows on it's first day on this board.

tibia is the long shinbone, the one you always bang on sharp edges and feel excruciating pain. That's a bad one. My buddy broke his skiing a handrail this winter and got a titanium rod put in. He was out and doin physio for 2 months. The estimated missing of 4 races I heard from the commentators sounds optimistic. Eiher that or being a professional athlete he's expected to start racing before full recovery. Regardless even as a skilled pro who's mentally sharp his kind of mcident stays in the brain forever. At his age this may sadly be a turning point for valentino.

And shouldn't these threads have had some sort of spoiler alert? Holy crap "rossi's broken tibia" kinda says a lot lol

Thanks, for the information, i thought it's something else.

Yes this can play a big role in his future. He has to take his time and dont rush it.

accomplishment? it was luck he had never been that badly hurt. he has had some wicked crashes before. never crashing in 14 years would be an accomplishment.

I'm kinda skipping allot of reading here, but I'll chime in and say I hope for a speedy recovery to Valentino. Its a loss to the season, and sport in general. I just hope its also met with perspective. I see lots of outpouring, which is great and rightly deserved, I just wish I would have seen similar outpouring when a not so visual injury claimed another title contender for several races last year. For those now throwing their heart behind Valentino but have made a forum name for themselves by shitting on Stoner last year, your outpouring rings shallow. When a contender is out, it hurts the sport in many ways regardless of who it is.

My guess would be not many, if anybody on this forum would actually celebrate a rider getting hurt.

What about the part where he threw himself on a live grenade to save children??? That was my favorite dude

You would be correct sir. The boppers have been calling in sick for work since Sat while the rest of us get on with it. They will play victim and cry about the sadness and tragedy of this for months to come. It's unfortunate, wish it hadn't happened but.......it did. Rossi will recover, he will return to form. Until then, racing goes on!

Honestly, I hope nobody, but knowing the world we live in, I'm sure some did. Like Levi said, dude will recover and make a comeback. Btw, I'm sorry to hear you won't make your home GP. Condolences to your fam.

Well i can see the smugness in some posts from the normal candidates.

And levi it was me that made the comment so if the bopper comment is directed at me then go .... yourself and for your info im still here
<
But on a side note i have noticed the lack of stoner support this season !

Thank for your wishes jum, was the misses mum.

True, but conversely, there is an element of the sky-is-falling on the other end of the spectrum too bro. LINK

Dude, if you're still here then obviously the comment wasn't directed at you.

Uhm, yeah a bit. I guess they're tired of being told how Stoner is .... and his illness last year was not as real as a broken bone.

Thank for your wishes jum, was the misses mum.

Sorry to hear Bonnie.

My comment was directed at no one in particular but apparently you felt it applied to you..........wear it if you like. We all feel for Rossi. I was upset to hear that he was injured so badly. I saw the footage and it was disturbing to see him in so much pain. Frankly, I was also really upset to hear that Regis Laconi suffered a LIFE ALTERING injury (one that immediately ended his career and may lead to permanent paralysis) last year....I think a few pages at most were dedicated to him. While I understand the deference paid to Rossi, I hate to see any of these guys suffer and have their careers transformed doing something that provides little more than amusement and entertainment to me. I can't fathom for even a second that there is anyone on this forum who would find satisfaction in Rossi's injury.

That being said, Rossi is a motorcycle racer who's life is worth no more to me than Mika Kallio's. I respect them all equally and would wish injury on none of them. I will not pretend or participate in a discussion that implies one has greater value over another. They have all achieved something fantastic by the mere fact that they line up week in and week out to entertain us. They have ALL achieved professional success that few of us will experience. I also expect in this case that Rossi will recover and have few if any lasting effects. His injury is not terribly uncommon and the science that will lead to his recovery is well researched. He'll be back!

On a lighter note, this "self ......." sounds promising. Something like that may prove useful. Do tell!

Well you know, over the years i have read a lot of posts on this forum, a lot more than i have posted ! so i think when i smell an undertone from some im probably not that far off the mark.

As for Regis, i was gutted. I will never forget watching him race the violent cube at donny. Im not sure how many pages to that thread there were but you think only a few. Well i actually think it was quite a few but i will stand corrected if you care to back up your claim by digging it up. I bet if you do you will not be surprised which members posted on it as i will not be surprised by the ones who did not.

As for self ......., i dont think i need to tell you which member to pm for advice. im sure you know who has experiance.

i'm not surprised there is a lack of Stoner support. if i was a Stoner fan i would have left the site because of all the crap they and Stoner take. or at least not say anything.
