My comment was directed at no one in particular but apparently you felt it applied to you.........wear it if you like. We all feel for Rossi. I was upset to hear that he was injured so badly. I saw the footage and it was disturbing to see him in so much pain.
Frankly, I was also really upset to hear that Regis Laconi suffered a LIFE ALTERING injury (one that immediately ended his career and may lead to permanent paralysis) last year....I think a few pages at most were dedicated to him. While I understand the deference paid to Rossi, I hate to see any of these guys suffer and have their careers transformed doing something that provides little more than amusement and entertainment to me.
I can't fathom for even a second that there is anyone on this forum who would find satisfaction in Rossi's injury.
That being said, Rossi is a motorcycle racer who's life is worth no more to me than Mika Kallio's. I respect them all equally and would wish injury on none of them. I will not pretend or participate in a discussion that implies one has greater value over another. They have all achieved something fantastic by the mere fact that they line up week in and week out to entertain us. They have ALL achieved professional success that few of us will experience. I also expect in this case that Rossi will recover and have few if any lasting effects. His injury is not terribly uncommon and the science that will lead to his recovery is well researched. He'll be back!
On a lighter note, this "self ......." sounds promising. Something like that may prove useful. Do tell!
