In a situation where some moron pulls out in front of you do you

A. Ignore it, pull back to a safe distance as this person has shown how stupid they are, so feel in the interest of yours and every other road users safety its best to keep your distance.

B. pull up alongside and give a load of verbal abuse and finger flicking

C. use your car as a weapon and punt them into the nearest ditch

D. pull them over and kick the .... out of them ?

Anything other than answer A. in the UK is an offence but there are all types of people who are road users. Now how would you expect a professional to act ?

Firstly option C is not valid as I implied you were riding ie on a motorcycle.

Secondly I wanted to know what your own personal response would be...option A+B has been my response previously when this has happened to me.

I normally lash out with my fist and punch the window, or sink my boot into the bodywork....if you commute regularly on a bike in urban UK expect to be pulled out on in a life threatening way at least a dozen times a week. But as Rog says, these guys on track are professionals.

When I despatched as a yoof I didn't have time to retaliate

Ok ill change it slightly for you. Your riding a bike when another bike pulls out in front of you.

Depending on where you live but in iner-city areas you not only get used to it but learn to expect it so are ready and far from surprised when it happens.

stoner AND simoncelli NOT okay!

hitting another rider is absolutely NOT acceptable. think stoner should have been banned for 1 race to show they dont want to see such stuff in such a high racing class...these are no beginners and even if de puniet made a stupid mistake this is NO WAY to answer. it shows the true nature of a person like iannone a year ago.

simoncelli is adanger on track. almost eevery race has its simoncelli.moment.

honestly...and please dont erase this cause its not meant rude but how i say it:

i think somincelli is stupid...not an a-hole...i mean not so smart in general. like i said: not meant rude. I think he is "unsmart". its so clear so many accidents are his fault. every rider loses a battle from time to time cause they are smart enough to see itll end in a crash if they stay on the gas. to call simoncelli "brave" "a great fighter" or so would be wrong I think! Its just stupid cause most of the time he ruins his own race. hes too impatient. maybe he shoud switch to nascar...

There are all manner of survival techniques which you amass over the years to try and anticipate the actions of other drivers - but I can honestly say given some of the .... that's been pulled on me by oblivious car drivers nothing would surprise me anymore

They need to get this fixed before the grid starts getting bigger.

Nice observation. I hadn't really considered it. Let's hope the riders are slacking off b/c they are accustomed to encountering few riders on the track, much the same way motorists drive with their knees while eating McDonald's when the roadways are clear. If the riders can't raise their game, someone will be badly hurt when the grid returns to 20+ participants.

Are you ....... kidding me, the UK is way worse off than i thought. You cant flip someone off and call them a stupid .......... for damn near killing you and your family, without breaking the law. What would be the charge, rape and defamation of character.
<
Here, you can flip off a cop and cuss him out as long as you dont make threats. He may haul your ass in and trump up charges, but it will never go to court. It goes back to that freedom of speech and expression gig that you guys so easily gave up. We are not big on passing laws because someones feelings get hurt.

Making a point to punish Stoner for his reaction to DePuniet who endangering his life is like putting the owner of a house in jail for kicking out a robber. It really is absurd. If Stoner was to be fined 5K, then DePuniet should have been banned for life from the series. That's how much the difference is for potential harm and professionalism. If Stoner was unprofessional, DePuniet was to the infinite degree. No amount of money would have been reasonable to fine Randy.

For those of you not understanding the concept of ....... around on a track, and what can happen when two riders collide, look up Bubba Shobert. DePuniet's crime is many fold. If race direction is more concerned with professionalism than career ending brain farts by idiots, then this sport is doomed. What Randy did was worse than what Simoncelli did during the race. Race direction is weak! They wouldn't have the balls to enforce anything against DePuniet at his home GP. Perhaps Karma decided it needed to step as he ...... up and launched his bike.

Living in Manhattan it makes no sense to keep a car - but on a motorcycle??? Oh yeah - for sure. I usually stick to B. tho when that's resulted in my getting flipped the bird from some cell phone blabbing ....... - I've been known to add another SUV mirror to my collection.
<
My wife is horrified at this - but as a rider herself, she's learned to be accepting of this, one of my few remaining bad habits. Fortunately unlike in the UK we're not all equipped with mandatory anus-cams to capture every little traffic peccadillo.

They can nick you for road rage and or not being in proper control of your vehicle at the least. If you then cut them up back or tail gate them you will get nicked for driving without due care and attention or even worse dangerous driving which can land you in prison. Road rage is often punished by a prison sentence.

Had stoner gone up to Randy in the Paddock and had a row with him and knocked him about a bit i would have no issue at all. Its retaliation while on track i have issue with.

Hahaha, compa, can you imagine what that might have looked like? That would have probably looked very pathetic.

Speaking of looking pathetic, did anybody notice how skinny and emaciated Valentino looked? He looked very unhealthy.

Been waiting for one of my fellow haters to make note of this. I reckon after a few months of struggling the the Duc

that 'Tino looks like he might be coming down with a bit of lactose intolerance.

You can actually get arrested in the UK for photographing a copper now....Orwell was right after all - just a few years early with his predictions.

Thank .... I dont live in England. Political correctness gone mad over there....unfortunately were not far behind in the land of Oz in heading down the same path
