This qualy session was very unpredictable, I think Rossi could take the pole but the weather was so mad!

I am hoping for a dry race, it will be much more funny, i dont like wet races, it seems riders lose the courage!!

About Ducati...

Looking at Capirossi's statements, about the new bike adapted to him, it seems Ducati have only moved back the firing order to twin pulse.

The new bike loses about 6 km/h comparing with Stoner's and Capirossi said that the bike is more smooth and the torque rised a bit. I think this mean only one thing: Twin Pulse instead Screamer firing order.

So, all the power of Ducati is just a screamer config in the engine, there is no miracle engine parts or miracle aerodynamic package in D16 GP7.

The secret is the eletronics that control the engine gas consumption. Optimizing consumption means more revs is allowed, then, i think that other teams are not capable of this kind of adjust over next races, so, Ducati will dominate the long straights circuits until the end of season, in my opinion.

The engine of Ducati has no miracle in my opinion, just a better config due to the lowered consumption. Look at Capirossi's new bike with supposed big bang config, is equivalent to others, just 317 KM/h.

Interesting session. I was watching the screens with about 15min to go and Bridgestone had all 8 spots at the top! Casey is doing a great job, crazy weather conditions an easy session to get caught out in. Chris doesnt have the pace in the dry, he'll go back unless it pisses down.

Valentino looks good in the dry and I think he'll be the only guy to challenge the Bridgestone onslaught of Stoner, Capirossi, Melandri, Hopkins and maybe Barros. Pedrosa looks fast but I can see him getting held up early in the race.

Edwards has proven once again why he should be cleaning the bike not riding it.

Qualifying was a bit of a lottery with the weather, but the Gods' are smiling on Casey.

Missed the QP entirely, the grid looks interesting, lets see what the weather brings today!

hmm boring qp when it rains! predictions have changed abit..

1. rossi
2. stoner
3. vermy

and now i gotta go work, have a great day and dont tell me jack!

Pedrosa will win!

I don't like the guy much but he has been consistantly the faster over the weekend. The wet weather in qualifying screwed him otherwise I'm sure we would have all seen him get pole.

So if it is a dry race:

P1 Pedrosa
P2 Melandri
P3 Rossi
P4 Stoner
P5 Hopkins

gonna miss the race, me and ben are going to a christening. unless they can finish it early and get us to the club on time to watch it

My bet....

GRAN PREMIO D'ITALIA ALICE
1 Valentino ROSSI

2 Marco MELANDRI

3 Loris CAPIROSSI

4 Toni ELIAS

5 Carlos CHECA

6 Dani PEDROSA

7 Nicky HAYDEN

8 John HOPKINS

9 Casey STONER

10 Chris VERMEULEN

11 Alex BARROS

12 Randy DE PUNIET

13 Colin EDWARDS

14 Makoto TAMADA

15 Sylvain GUINTOLI

...capirossi - father on board!!

Rossi
Pedrosa
Stoner
Hopkins

Hopkins might grab 3rd from stoner, the first 2 have just completely pulled away. Looks like Michelin are much stonger than BS today.

EDIT: Barros passes Hopkins, he could get 3rd from Stoner beating the works Ducati!!

Rossi
Pedrosa
Barros
Stoner

Unbelievable, well done Barros! Anyone want to rethink their stance on Barros being a waste of a seat?

Any1 who thinks barros is a waste is a bloody ...... Stoner struggled today, not sure what it was, tyres perhaps. Rossi was brilliant and back to his best. Michelin will be happy as well.

Nope, still think Barros is crap. He put in a very good ride today. Rossi was definitely on form and rode as only Rossi can a Mugello. Good ride from Pedrosa, mistake free.

Stoner, solid points finish, nothing spectacular, Loris needs a new brain not a new bike.

Anyone want to change their stance on Edwards deserving his Yamaha seat?
