Why not? Unpopular opinion amongst the purists but I'd have no problem with gp being a spec series. I dislike everything that gets in the way of deciding who the best athlete is. I do know that motorsports are probably the wrong sport to follow with that preference; )

Chill mike, its not there with malicious intent. And like i said, please, super lightweight. Those 5 pounds are what define me as a man.

I have just as much desire for this to continue as the great ali probably did in that legendary 13th round. I'd be glad if you had a eddie futch to stop you. You said absolutely nothing relevant to me ( but after reading through it i admit to learning a word or two) talked some .... about music and how you're big strong and wouldn't advise me to challenge other men you know. And u keep dancing. Thats a victory in the eyes of others and I'm generous enough to let u keep that. No added inches in embarrassing you further.

Ignore option it is then. .... off. You were the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail anyway, but can take the option of saying English is not your first language, rather pathetically. If you want to have a flame war I suggest you do it in German on a German forum where you don't have an easy out.

There are many people I would not choose to engage on this forum, who exceed me by among other things being smarter than me, more knowledgeable about GP bike racing than I am, and having much greater literary flair, Arrabbiata being a particularly prominent example. I am however also quite sure you don't qualify in any of these respects, or any other in the intellectual realm. If I thought there was any point I would refer you to the Dunning-Kruger principle, which you would appear to exemplify.

I will also abide my previous promise, to never subconsciously consider you a lightweight again.

I can't mention it again because of the risk of cliche, but you by definition are obviously incapable of understanding the Dunning-Kruger effect. Our dispute arose from you taking an uninformed stance, to which I objected, and it would seem you are incapable of being informed, hence the reference to Messrs Dunning and Kruger.

I would suggest you tend to your flesh wounds.

You are the one who spoke of winning and losing from the start of this (ie your) nonsense, and also the one who acclaimed a guy you have never met for accusing another guy you have never met (incorrectly for reasons of logistics which I have detailed to you, among many other reasons), but whom the slanderer/libeler had met, and who had indeed accepted hospitality from him when they did met, of being a bad husband and father who had engaged in whoremongering on behalf of himself and another guy you have never met on the eve of that other person's wedding.

You are obviously "winning" because you have the high moral ground, of course. The battle is even more unequal because I can't make use of irony or humour, both of which you are fairly obviously incapable of understanding. My declaration that I am much older than you and very probably not nearly as fit as you was obviously the height of arrogance and designed to put you in your place.

I took offence at the content of the initial post you made only, and even then my offence was incidental and due to a fairly negligible post made by you acclaiming a slanderous/libelous post made by someone else to which I responded in defence of someone I regard as a friend. It seems you were greatly offended by me. I would suggest you have the problem, since I am not really capable of being significantly offended by any person I don't know, whether young or old, on a gp bike racing forum I frequent because it amuses/entertains me to do so. Whether I entertain you or not, in this discussion or any other, is a matter of complete indifference to me. If it pleases you to regard yourself as hip/cool/whatever, go for it.

Greg Norman, the Australian golfer once said after a round "I was in awe of myself today", a statement which was not met iirc with universal sympathy, and you are perhaps the first to have reached such a pinnacle on this forum.
