Motogp: 2016 Round 4 Gran Premio Red Bull de España

Sorry, jumped the gun on tire conspiracy.. I am getting a little closer to understanding..

So saying Pedro is not as good as he seemed because he could not adjust to the new tire as fast as the better riders have? Not sure I disagree with that.

I have never glossed over the impact of the tire in a race. It is an important part of racing. It is an important part in why the best riders, cream as the say, rise to the top at certain times and why at certain times some really good riders seem to stumble. The best riders learn and adapt to a changing situation. They have adapted and use the tires to their advantage.
No worries, I think Mike above did a better job explaining what I was stumbling to express. I was basically making a commentary on Pedrosa's struggle.

There are of course a plethora of reasons why fortunes ebb and flow in a particular race for riders, but championships are a cumulative effect of nuances as well as obvious clear-cut realities.

When Pedrosa moved up from 250's they said he was too small and well, maybe he is.

I'd like to see Pedrosa on the m1, something tells me that would be a perfect partnership.

I've thought that 4 years ago. and his career plunging down since then. I dont know the problem with his head if 2017 he still remains with honda.

Listen, I know some of you angry brethren are old dogs, closer to Rossi's age than Marc's, or even past it. Don't you take any joy in seeing an old dog succeed in a young man's game??

Well, we did. But then he started acting like an angry old man and then we didn't. You can't kick the young kids off their bike.

I won't defend his actions regarding pushing Marc wide, but he simply didn't kick him off his bike. I've looked at hundreds of angles as I'm sure you have, and i just don't buy it.

As far as Rossi being an angry old man, let's analyze this. The people at power in the sport turned him into a deity so to speak, and we have no idea what sort of pressure he was under last year behind the scenes. Chasing a fleeting dream of winning a 10th overall title, having the pressure of millions of fans on your back, millions upon millions of dollars at stake for his investors, it's easy to see how any person could crack.

You don't think he did?
Depends what you mean. People either think that:

1) Rossi made false accusations after Australia.
2) Ross told the truth, but Marquez was entitled to act the way he did in revenge for Argentina, where Rossi took Marc out of the race intentionally.
3) Rossi told the truth, and he did not intentionally take out Marquez in Argentina.

Nobody can prove/disprove anything, but from intuition and observation, scenario 1) doesn't make sense to me. Between 2) and 3) I don't know, but neither would portray Rossi as "cracking", but merely trying to stop something questionable happening on the track that wasn't against the rules. In that case, perhaps he should have tried to address it directly with Marquez first? So that may have been a mistake, but he had to do something.

I promise I won't shut down the forum until at least after the race. Pinky swear.
Pinky swear... hehehehehe

Didn't expect to wake up to Rossi on pole, fawk what year is it?
Depends on which multiverse you're in.

Dude, No 1 makes perfect sense if you realise anyone can become incensed at another's actions based on their own preconceived misconceptions of a situation. Add a dash of privileged paranoia and you're good to go.

Nice onboard video of Rossi's pole lap.

Hate him all you want, there's no denying his abilities.

Loved that video.

Dude can ride a bike. Regardless of SNSs; perceived lesser competition; leverage; tainted titles; Uccio; Ducati; Carmelo; yellow hoards; irrational moments; tax evasion; only 4 winning bikes; and the ....... kitchen sink, VR at his best is truly sublime.

Oh now I really see how this forum works!! First you accuse me of paying hookers with Pizza Hut coupons, then you accuse Vale of tax evasion. What's next boys??

Y'know ya can ..... about the all the other .... but 500s; 990s; 800s; 1000s. He has mastered them all. Maybe not a GOAT but a very talented man - probably more adaptable and able to change styles than any other rider in history. Drunk & high atm, but watching that vid I saw (though his black visor...) a ....... passionate and extremely talented 37 yr old doing what he does better than anyone else out there regardless of age (and tyre debates...LOL).

Actually, speaking of underpaid hookers, that reminds me, MickD, you never got back to me on the finer points of ... tourism in Southeast Asia. Since you're feeling so chatty and high atm, maybe you could finally post a detailed pitch.
