In which case it is malicious as was my initial assumption (which was that he was Paparazzo's sock puppet), he or the person operating him is particularly inept, and it is amusing to reply to him until it becomes tedious.
I actually enjoy people trolling, it allows me to construct counter arguments which is something I find amusing in itself, and certainly involves less effort then writing scientific papers or pursuing other academic ends.
In the old days when Stoner was being widely pilloried, I also had the probably delusional belief that it was good to put counter arguments out there, as it is not completely unknown in the digital media age for arguments even from inconsequential blogs to occasionally gain wider currency.
