Also, the difference in top speed is staggering.

It's interesting to see how low Lorenzo's top speed is. It shows how fast being smooth really is.

Nice fast laps...

The first few races should be exciting. After the factories have their armies of technicians figure the electronics out, I assume it will be business as usual.

Ducati stole a march on the rest of the filed adopting the standard Magneti Marelli software last season. It was also 217mph through the trap which make you wonder what it will be clocking down the home straight at Mugello this year. No more understeer and four riders capable of getting on the rostrum if not winning a race in the case of the Factory riders. Casey wants a go.

In addition to lighting up the rear like it's 2006 again, the other bikes are stepping out and backing in big time like moto2 bikes on corner entry. Significantly, Rossi said commented that the new electronics are like old electronics in that they've regressed the rider aids by a decade - and back then you had not much more sophistication than a slipper clutch to keep the rear in line. This rampant engine braking looks wayward - particularly on the satellite Hondas. The primitive electronics is uncharted territory for the new generation and those that cut their teeth in the 800cc formula. Those unknowns always play straight into Rossi's hands...particularly if the new tyres degrade during a race.

With the increased fuel allocation and the decreased rider aids these things are cornering like the Indy Mile. Get Stoner on the .......

Stoner on a Ducati wildcard: Qatar, Mugello, Philip Island, 3/3.

If he did Mugello and PI that would be a sight to see. Impressed with the way Ducati has managed to keep their engine driveable and still have crazy top end. Its a shame the WSBK bikes have none, its all they need to compete with the Kawasakis.
Its also impressive seeing how slow Lorenzo is and still set such a great time.
Dorna is going to outlaw desmo valvetrain once Honda complain.

Stoners a vindictive little ..... Im sure he still holds a grudge against his mum for slipping the rectal thermometer in too deep. Then again, he probabaly enjoyed it.
His dysfunctional personality may play into the championship outcome this year. There are only 2 alien bikes this year so there is a 1 in 2 chance that Rossi could win. I cant see Stoner sitting around idly when given an opportunity to thwart Rossis championship.

Marquez said his last lap that didn't count was a 1.54.2. How in the hell do you miss getting that extra lap. sometimes I wonder if those clowns are qualified to run a top notch GP team
