Hey he calls himself butter I was just playin with that. But yes everything you said is true as usual, you are very wise. My point is, make him angry and he melts. He doesn't concentrate well angry. At least in the past he hasn't. I think back to watch him & 58 when I think of him melting. Valencia when jorges jewels almost went flying across the track. Gotta love the estoril press conference.

Fair cop, my point was mainly that whatever deficiencies Jorge may have I don't think lack of toughness is among them.

Entirely remarkable that Valentino is in with a good chance of the championship against the likes of prime MM and Jorge at age 36 of course; I am not sure how either would be going against a 25 year old Rossi, and very sure neither of them will be winning premier class championships at age 36.

Jorge is very tough he has proven that time and time again, and he learns from his mistakes better than any rider. Thats whats got him to this point.

you don't know that for sure though, Valentino isn't the only rider to have success in his mid 30s agostini and doohan both did, Doohan may have kept winning championships until he was 36 if it wasn't for his crash. So it isn't unheard of for riders to have success in their mid 30s.

Again perhaps so, but Mick Doohan who started much later than Valentino is on the record as saying that staying at the pinnacle as long as Valentino has is basically impossible and not something he managed himself; he said this before Valentino's resurgence in 2014 and this year btw.

As it stands nobody, even including Mick Doohan and Agostini, has ever lead the premier class championship for more than half a season at age 36, and if Mick was derailed by injury this is hardly less likely to be the case with MM unless he significantly changes his riding style which might take away his edge in any case

Leslie Graham was a champion at 38 and was runner up at 41 although certainly in the modern era it's not happened.

The rider who looks best for the title is currently Lorenzo.
Valentino Rossi has to study Nicky Hayden's 2006 season, and hope that events are favorable to him as they were then to Nicky.
Marquez' season is like Valentino's 2006, same chances.
As in 2006, Pedrosa is going to play some role. Not sure it will be in MM's favor.
One thing is sure: the winner's bike will be a Yamaha or a Honda.
But, Motegi is going to be Ducati's! :)

Fair play to you, this one is at least a bold prediction. And to think, it's not that long ago that you would have copped the sarcastically deployed soothsayer JPEG for that comment too. I miss Stoner.
