MotoGP: 2013 Round 07 - Iveco TT Assen (SPOILERS)

Pedrosa fans, identify yourselves!

HAHAHAHA SUCKING BALLS.

Boppers, celebrate, you deserve it.  No bad words will be spoken of the man.

Crutchlow has my respect.  Dude needs to ....... get his starts squared away.  I'm not buy the full tank ........, they all start with full tanks.  I was yelling at my screen, COME ON CAL!  Be proud Crutchlow fans...now go on and get your Silverstone ticket!  This may just be a sell out.

LORENZO HAS THE HEART AND WILL OF A CHAMPION!  Pedrosa does NOT!

Because of ....... F1 we were on 15 minute delay...Had to stay off phone.

Awesome to see Rossi riding the wheels of that Yam. That front wheel juddering had me worried. He didn't care.

Top stuff.

Top work Cal. Great Effort. And speaking of effort. Jorge. hard-nut. He is a nut.

Great weekend for the championship.

Rossi- Good on ya!

Marc- Going to be a machine in coming years.

Cal- Needs a new gas tank!! Great race !!

Pedro- Had nothing this weekend.

Lorenzo- Every season I respect him more and more, this race pushes him over the top, most impressive ride I've ever seen from him.

Ducati- For christ sake give those two something to work with.

Most entertaining race this year so far.

And as an aside, when was the last time there was no  Lorenzo or Pedrosa on the podium?

Many said Val would never win a race again... Cal said Yamahas can only win if they're in the first position after turn 1 on lap 1... No one thought Lorenzo would would race after the news his collar bone was broken...

Conclusion: They're were all wrong!

Amazing day for the Yamahas. Lorenzo can only be considered the ultimate warrior for riding today. Great to see Rossi win a race again, hopefully he can keep it going. If only Cal could've squeezed by MM... great race by Cal though.

Like a broom and a mop.....pathetic performance by Dovi and Hodor....they should fire one of them and focus on the other.....that is the only way they are going to move ahead....and the guy that has been on that bike for 5 years and sucked every year on it aint the way forward....

Hahah, I'm still laughing.  I was bitching to CaliKid telling him how pissed I was that Jlo had  injured himself allowing Pedro to nap a title.  He assured me that Pedro would find a way to .... this up.  He was right.  Hahahaha.

I've been up all night.  It wasn't my intention but a few friends were have a beer and so we fired up the computer and watched warm up (midnight my time).  We took a few shots in honor of Lorenzo for making it to warm up.  4-5 hours later and we were still drinking.  But I out lasted them all!  Its like Jim Jones around here, everybody asleep.  But I'm still going!

I just had a thought.  If Pedros was as commited as me to party, he would have already been a champion.  Hahaha

.... you Pedro!  You suck!

Yeah... that's right blame the riders. It's the bike - but only you of all the people on the forum are playing at being too obtuse to see this. You hate American riders and resent Nicky's championship. Yes we get it. We've been hearing this from you for 7 years now. Even you must be bored with yourself by now. That makes it unanimous.

In a related note. Did u guys hear Dovi was docked a point for kicking Hector? The commentators mentioned it in a very sympathetic tone for Dovi. Haha. Then again, not even Barbara's girlfriend likes him.

Welcome to the forum.  Stick around until next race, then increase you post count to 4 in the predictions thread.  Then you can join the club of "wrong" people.  Ha!

Quoted 'cause I couldn't say it any better!

Lorenzo breaks his collarbone, suddenly Rossi is capable out outrunning Marquez, Pedrosa, and Crutchlow. It seems that Rossi is responsible for some task beyond winning, and now that Yamaha need him to take points off of Pedrosa, he can charge. I'd really like to know if he is playing around with the spec ECU for next year. Would certainly explain the whacky fuel strategy at Qatar, and his ability to go fast when Yamaha need him to.

Sachsenring just got a lot more interesting.

Dani increased his margin by 2 points this weekend. Epic fail.

I would have liked to see Dani win the WC this year. But after that piss poor performance I hope he gets beat by everyone.

It put a smile on my face to see Rossi win.

Lorenzo doesn't look it at first, but he is a proper hard ........ As soon as he crossed the line and the adrenalin dropped off, he could barely hold himself up. That's what Champs are made of. Anyone who finished behind him today should hang up their leathers or forever bow down to him when they cross paths in the paddock.

To say Crutchlow and Marquez ride on the ragged edge is an understatement. Very entertaining.

Love Assen.

You know I'm all about the conspiracies, but honestly, Rossi has shown he has the pace from time to time this year but has run into lots of bad luck.  I mentioned this before, and listed all the incidents that have masked his pace (bum fork, crash in tricky conditions, and Bautista).  I think he was on a win or close 2nd at Mugello until disaster struck.

I don't think there was anything suspect, simply the man stepped up when he knew he could be the hero of the day.  So good on him.  Also, factor in this is Assen, I can't remember of the top of my head but he has something like 6 wins here (something close to Mugello).  Its a place he has mastered and suits him.  Take a look again at his performance, notice how smooth he was around the track, its because Assen flows and is crazy fast.  I also expect VR to do well at PI.  Mark my words.

Totally agree about Pedro.

What a ride from Rossi, they said he'd been off somewhere and found a good set up that he was happy with on the bike and they weren't kidding were they? What a ride by him.

Was disappointed to see Cal swamped at the start but he did well to get back to where he finished, could have even got second if not for that last lap thing where Marquez put him wide.

Lorenzo, was he right to ride? I don't think so, sure he scored some points which might be vital at the end of the season but at the end of the race he looked a real mess. It can't have done him any good to put himself through that, it just can't!

Great start by Pedrosa but faded through the race yet again, he had a chance to make the most of Lorenzo's injury and he blew it in many ways sadly. He could regret that later on.

Arrab, Marquez swept by his team mate, twice, today with no problem at all. After that I am ready to suggest maybe you might be right about last race. Mark that in your diary, me admitting I might have been wrong  like that, it doesn't happen often my friend  ;)

Don't you go folding on me now.  No way.  Marc stayed neatly behind Pedro until it was clear Dani was not on the pace. At that point Pedro was dropping back considerably, watch the gap Marc pulls after the pass.  Marc simply had to pass him as Dani had put it in reverse.

I'm not folding, I used the words might and maybe, that means I'm considering it, not that I've totally given up on the idea,  don't worry ;)

Those words will be seen as conceding.  Stand your ground.  Don't be like Pedrosa.

Speaking of which, I'm gonna say it now.  Fire Pedro effective immediately and give his seat to Cal.

I think he did. He saved valuable points to his nearest competitor and he has two weeks now to recuperate. If he had sat out, he would be -25 points to whoever won and -howevermany to Pedrosa. He reduced the impact of that points loss to a nearly inconsequential level.

I think he made an incredibly brave decision and it will pay off, both in the championship and with the public.

It will be overshadowed somewhat by Rossi's win, but that can't be helped.
