Ah, no way. Kropo is too good, and his comments too much to the point. Assuming he's a fake (I would not say so) it would be a masterpiece, by someone really knowledgeable. No worries. I probably look at Wiki as little as the next man. It's just more ........ made up by the ineffectual on here to bolster their own shrunken egos.


 


When they post ........ and someone counters with fact, the only thing they have going is to attack the messenger and undermine anything they have to say as 'Wiki'


 


An inability to argue their corner with anything other than a sheer wall of unintelligible words does not an compelling argument make.


 


And go for it - using the ignore feature makes this place much more pleasant, even if Jumkie can't believe I never check his posts - just shows what an egocentric tosser he is. I'm happy to say, from the moment I put that shortarsed, mouthy .... on ignore, I have never once felt the need to 'View it anyway'.

Ownership is just one side of the story though. The target of sponsorship also varies quite a bit between different companies. Red Bull, Monster, Camel, Marlboro, Rothmans and the like are companies that care a lot about appealing to end consumers internationally. For oil companies, this is less important, a lot of their buisiness isn't with the average joe motocycle enthousiast, and to the extend that it is, consumer choice is constrained by things like gas station licences. As far as I know, the Repsol brand is scarcely available to end consumers outside Spain (not sure about this), so in that sense, favoring Spanish riders makes perfect sense.
