MotoGP 2013: Le Mans

This week I'm not going to over analyse the race. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy it. Cause on Sunday night, a good friend of my brother crashed his motorcycle and got killed. He was a mechanic who worked for my dad, rode motards, harleys and his Fireblade. It was his own mistake, he ...... up, and sometimes you don't get a second chance. But he was a good guy, 29, and now he is dead.

So this weekend me and my little bro will go for a ride to clear our heads. And come home to watch the MotoGP and remember why it is we love bikes even after .... things happen.

I dunno why I wrote this here but I just wanted to say it somewhere. RIP Davo.

I know that Ohlins are the best for street bike (ss etc)

Showa,wp and Kyb for mx

You know this, how?

I am sure Showa would be very upset to be told they are no good for street bikes, especially after more than 75 years of making suspension for exactly that purpose.

Bad news about your brother's mate. RIP.

Sad news buddy, take care on your ride.

"Ducati Back?"

Duc's issues are not with quick laps on new tyres... Their issue is race distance and tyres...

My heart goes out to you and your mates family.

I am nearly 2 years down the track from a nearly fatal prang and still have operations coming up and I walk on sticks, I still love bikes and will ride again .

I personally hate the saying "he died doing what he loved", but there is just enough of a grain of truth to it in this regard. We all know the risks, but will jump on a bike in a second anyway. I've ridden as a cripple.I read motorcycle magazines in my months in hospital.

When you say that your mate died and you didn't know who else to say it to, by saying it here you are telling hundreds of men (and chicks) who have crashed, hundreds of broken bones, funny walks, gruesome scars and the rest.

We never take it lightly, or make a joke about it, riding bikes is serious and supreme fun as well as being cloaked in a deathly pall at the same time.

Bless your friend bro, there but for the grace of (my atheist impersonal) God goes us all.

...... tumbleweeds in here..... anyone actually keeping up with this? Or have all you motherfuckers got your undies in a twist cause Pedro is smashing it, and Rossi is actually peeling off some pretty consistant fast laps? :toot:  :yeah:

Probably be raining tomorrow for qualifying, better than average chance of dry race Sunday. Dani has fast lap, but Jorge was turning lap after lap in the low 1.34's

I read this not long after you posted it.

I didn't know what to say, so said nothing.

I still don't know what to say except I hope you both have a safe and memorable day.

Sloth, best wishes to you, your brother and of course the mate's family, so go out and enjoy the ride, stop often and remember the fun times, the laughs and the sheer awesomeness that the person bought to you.

Forget about the race, and remember the mate.

Always works for me anyway ......

Sloth. I'm in the same boat as Red. I read your post a while ago and just suck at saying things.

Exactly........

Looks like it could be close, but so did Jerez.....there's no season sum up yet what's going on? We've had a practice session or two?

Rossi, Jorge and Dani all reeling off consistent 1.34.5s. Marc improving.

Definately should give Cal the factory Yamaha, he's so full of praise for the triple tuning fork.

Forcada and co are once again 'Outstanding', Burgess and co must be just getting lucky.....
