Moto 2

Loved the Moto 2 race, nice win by Elias and the ten pin bowling game on the corner was entertaining, surprised nobody was badly injured.

I wonder if our BM miester caught Julio Simon backing in his Moto2 bike under downshift/braking? Tres coolio!!!!

Very sharp Mick.

We wont hear of Julio Simon hurting himself whilst MX training because that guy is out Supermoto training. Some of the best backing it in I have seen in a long time.

On TV the Moto2 bikes sound awesome, almost better than the MotoGP bikes.

Loved the 'stone!!! Backing in Moto2 is cool (have I said that already?). Wished they'd shown more action from 8th back...

Cluzel kept his head and didn't lose it. Amazing. Elias... WTF? Waiting for Tomizawa's resurgence. What

a madhouse race. Great ....! The commentator's sounded like their heads were going to explode. Watching

some of the overhead shots - it really did seem that some bikes had more HP. I expect Honda is doing what

they can to keep them even - but there has to be variances - if from no other source than human error.

you know i gotta say that i was just a bit worried at the start of the season about the moto2 class. i mean i was really stoked about it but i was worried about the pace & maybe it was not gonna be as nail biting as i was hoping... weeeeeelllll........................ no worries thats fer shure!!!

Great racing in Moto2, but I'm gutted for Luthi. It sucks to lose a race b/c of a bobble in a slow turn. Cluzel almost met is maker on the cool down lap.

I hope the championship continues this way b/c we might have 4 or 5 people with a statistical chance of taking the title at the last round.

Silverstone is epic. I'm shocked at how good it is. It's like a super Sachsenring. Flat out all the time with very few slow sections.

I still have my reservations about moto2, but overall its been excellent

Count me as a Wilairot follower. I started following him last year, he showed he had the speed. The last few races he has really come on. Had to take a little time to get up to speed because he was without a ride until a little before the Moto2 season started.

This class is awesome. First Tomizawa and Elias seem like they were going to dominate, now the last 2 races Iannone has won. Luthi is another to watch out for. It is going to be very interesting.

I thought Iannone was on an 800 at first.

On a serious note, that bike does look almost as well sorted as an 800. The wheels are glued to the tarmac and it even gets out of shape in a refined fashion just like an 800cc GP bike. I'm not certain, but I think the suspension is the reason. I'm not trying to take anything away from Iannone b/c he's riding perfectly, but that bike is too stable for it to be entirely down to the rider. I think the suspension probably costs more than the entire bike.

Anyway, these runaway victories by Iannone will be very interesting to monitor if the bike is a contributing factor. We are still operating under the pretense that parts are available to everyone via third party mainly b/c Moriwaki, Suter, FTR, and the rest are keen to sell their machines. We still don't know what is going to happen if Ohlins or aero manufacturers start playing favorites or hoarding equipment.

Hey Toro, Feem (Wilairot's Thai nickname) wasn't without a ride... SAG Honda was always there but they missed some pre-season practice due to injury and switching chassis from Suter to Bimota. You (AND ALL AUSSIES) should check out one of Feem's mechanic's blog (with some REALLY GREAT pics of the Bimota Moto2 bike) HERE!!
