Misano FP and Qualifying

that was damn funny !!!!

I hope it's going to be an interesting race.

Almost everything seems to have gone back the way it was at the start of the season though.. Poor Kawas, poor Melandri...

Oh Casey.

Maybe you won't win the championship this year, but we all know who the real best is. If your tires hadn't sucked and your engine hadn't blown up, you'd be walking away with this year's title.

A pity.
<

So much better than everyone else it's scary.

Casey is definitely far better than anyone out there. This year will definitely need an asteriks next to the title. It should have been his title.
<
I guess others just got lucky.

Nice bit of fiction lads
<

No one is winning these titles back to back like Vale did... lets all write a story book
<

You could look at hundreds of titles in different motorsports that were won by "the wrong man", but that doesn't change the fact that in the end of the year, they were first in points. The system is as fair as it needs to be. Even if I could, I would never go taking titles from the one's who won it.

...Except maybe F1 championship from '94, now that was unfair!

I wasn't a true Stoner fan until today.

The lad has balls of steel, throwing the bike around like, well no one else on the grid at least.

not according to the points table ! rossi also had a bad/unlucky race this season (assen). rossi is the best out there so far this season.

Well...than how about "If Rossi's tires hadn't sucked and his engine hadn't blown up, he'd be walking away with 2006 year's title ???"...or "I guess Hayden just got lucky ???"...
<
Ooops STOP !!! Hayden was 2006 WC..END OF THE STORY and he DESERVED it...
If Rossi wins this year, he DESERVES It.
If Casey wins this year, he DESERVES it.
Whoever wins he DESERVES it. END OF THE STORY.
Get it ?

I was watching a children’s show with my 4-year-old daughter. The show was "Lazy Town" and I think it's pretty cool for a kids show, but, some of the characters were belittling someone’s winning effort and writing it all off to luck when another one of the characters said "Yes it's really easy to win with Luck when you have a lot of skill behind you".

I was rocked by the profundity of it, and I thought. Luck (personified) is no ..... and luck chooses very wisely, be it Casey Nicki or fat Kenny Jnr. Even Valentino.

I think this is undoubtedly true, but apparently was not a position widely endorsed by rossi fans less fair-minded than you in 2006.

One thing not requiring mylexicon to employ much irony is his contention that dorna have badly screwed up the sport in two short years; hopkins career is under threat if some are to be believed, michelin may be gone, honda appear to have lost their way and pedrosa seems totally disaffected; we will be down to just rossi against stoner as the only 2 riders on the grid rather than just being the only 2 riders in contention for a win fairly soon at this rate. Lorenzo is the one hope.

Don't you think that putting that pink wig on a 10 year old girl on Lazy Town is a
little to stripperish?

Stoner is probably the fastest rider to ever race.

I think there is some winding up going on Rog. You took the bait.
The points table should probably be a little closer, but it is a fair reflection on the performance of each rider. On a whole, Vale has been the best in 08. He's also been the the most consistent for the year.

In a word YES, and my 16 old daughter thinks "Sporticus" is a bit of a hottie.

Every week Alberto Puig comes onto the set to play "Robbie Rotten"...

Correction: Stoner and the Ducati Malboro team on Bridgestones are the fastest package at the moment. Would he be as fast on the Fiat Yamaha? On the Repsol Honda? On the Rizla Suzuki? No-one knows, so we can't plausibly say that 'Casey is the fastest'. He is the most important element in the package, but not the only element.

You can't separate a rider from the bike, team and tyre package. That goes for everyone else too, including Rossi, Pedrosa, heck, even West.
