Just been reported that Jorge Lorenzo has had a finger amputated as a result of a crash in morning warm-up. Casey soon to be world champion.
Lorenzo/s lost a finger............

he got no chance of making malaysia. if its been re-attatched, will need time to heal, be suprising if he makes it to valencia either. may take alot of rehab.
could screw with his 1000cc testing aswell.

Jesus!! What a pain threshold. Watching it happen I did not think 1/3 of his finger was gone. Get well soon JL.

Holy crap. Props to him for keeping his act together when he saw what happened to his finger. Scary .....
Baylis had a similar injury a few years back at the British round of SBK. His response to the injury is pretty bad .... He had the doctor cut the flesh off and sew it up, he had a race the next day!

I'd consider the testicle removal more impressive. There is no doubt, Bayliss was a total bad ....
Jorge is bad ... enough, he has raced with broken ankles and came back from all those high sides and the head injury in 2008 still prepared to push the limits, and to win against the very best.
I agree there is no-one more bad-... than bayliss, particularly with the testicle thing, but he at least had time to get something done about the finger since he was injured in practice rather than warm-up, and if memory serves the championship was still in the balance whereas this year's was gone for jorge as soon as he had that injury, if not when stoner put in those 4 blistering laps in practice.
