I was wrong

I think ou'll find it's called "Pulling a train"

Casey Stoner, the guy who whooped your hero's ... on a bike that your hero then could bare even podium...

Just as you have a hero (who seems to go by the name of Nicky Hayden) remember that my hero was and always will be Jarno Saarinen. He would have swept the floor with your hero as well as with Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi combined (and Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez of course, no problem). So relax and be happy Jums. :p

You've lost your mind J4rn0. Just like Rossi, you're either on drugs or so sleep deprived, like Rossi, that your mind has played into your paranoia.

#22 is not a sockpuppet. Get ahold of yourself man. Your boy lost on the track, no conspiracy by Marquez etc. Get over it.

Don't drink so much Jums, it's not good for you. Seriously.

True Mick

All I have seen indicates two things, one being that the contract runs out in December and the second being some level of falling out as a result of comments made by others aside from CS or Nakamoto (although I recall some comment from Nakamoto that was very non-commital a few months back)

There have also been rumours that HRC's attitude to COTA has played a part but I suspect that we shall never know the truths as being fair, CS is a complex character and HRC generally don't comment

The wake of the 8 Hours of Suzuka was far worse than what was indicated from what I've gathered.

Honda was very quick to blame CS for bailing on the bike during that crash even though he told them right away the throttle stuck. They denied his claim being true until they investigated, and were suddenly forced to apologize, and issue a public apology for what they said about him.

If he is in fact leaving Honda at the end of the year for Ducati, I don't see it as being caused by one event, but rather a combination of events. I would point to Suzuka as being the straw that broke the camel's bike since that was a crash that 20 years ago might have killed him at that circuit because of the armco barriers.

Casey's a guy who does expect a bit of professionalism from Honda and their employees from what I can gather. So for him to decide he was done with HRC based off of those two wouldn't be terribly shocking.

Relax, man. Why are you so worked up?

Here's my translation - MM said that "the Japanese test rider developed the bike. Stoner, when he participated in the test, tried the bike, but it's obvious that he can't develop anything".

I think CS would respond to that by saying that he doesn't need to ride the bike week in, week out. He jumped on the bike, pointed out its flaws, and that was that.

"Un poco sí íbamos probando chasis y quizá el problema que teníamos, y que según nuestro equipo es el carácter del motor, allí quedaba disimulado, por las condiciones tan altas que había de temperatura, ya que cuando hace tanto calor la moto corre menos. Por lo que respecta a la evolución de la moto, al final la ha hecho el piloto de pruebas japonés. Stoner, cuando hizo el test probó la moto, pero está claro que después de un año sin ir en moto, no puede desarrollar nada."

Misunderstanding then. The way you used the quote it seemed to me you were using the quote to substantiate the age-old meme about Stoner being a bad developer. Appy-polly-oggies!;)

Well .... me. As you can see that was a perfectly reasonable debate myself and Gazzie poo were having. And as you can see by the end in the replies it was over. This is a perfectly relevant debate dip .... so chill. But I'll play since you are feeling feisty. How in the .... is it helpful to "develop" a bike for yourself when you are retired? That makes about as much sense as owning a harmonics store in NYC. And don't bring Rossi into this this thread is about Stoner and his abilities. You want to talk about Rossi do it with all the noobies in about 100 other threads. Grumpy old man.

This

I wasn't replying to anything said by you or Gaz - so what has anything said between me and 600 have to do with anything you said????

I never said it was not relevant. So again you are introducing a irrelevant matter into the discussion.

Regarding my store in NYC - you really want to get personal? I thought we weren't doing that anymore. But since you feel the need to drag further irrelevant issues into something that wasn't directed at you. Take note. Keshav Music has provided harmoniums to Krishnadas, Dave Stringer, Vilayat Khan, Vishal Vaid, The Pharoah Sanders Group, Bill Laswell, Rick Rubin, Duncan Sheik,The National, Amanda Homi, Brooklyn Qawwali Party, Rusted Root, Babukishan Baul and Yaiyasaki Das as well as to the Jivamukti Yoga Centers in four different countries, numerous harmoniums to the Shivananda Ashrams, The Self-Realization Fellowship, Siddha Yoga Satsang, Amma Satsang, Vivekananda Temples of Boston and L.A., Integral Yoga and literally thousands of yogis around the globe.

My harmoniums are used by many top studio musicians and can be heard on recordings by Elvis Costello, Marianne Faithful, David Sanborn, Paul Simon, Tom Waits, James Taylor, Tom Petty, Beck, and many others.

Over the years I provided instruments, repairs and support to many of the finest musicians in the business including, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Kiran Aluwalia, Rez Abassi, Karsh Kale, Shilpa Rea, TV Gopalkrishnan, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Hamid Drake, William Parker, Omar Hakim, Victor Rendon, Jai Uttal and Cyndi Lauper.

Does that seem like a good reason to have a store in a city that is home to many of the most famous musicians and recording studios in the world?

Any more irrelevant personal references you wish to muddy the waters with? Or can we leave it at that?

And FFS - since when are you the arbiter of where and when anyone can mention Rossi in a thread. Don't start .... over nothing. Everything is chill here; you don't need to be the first one to start the flame wars again. If you have something significant to say then say it. If you're just looking to start some .... because you're in a bad mood than take a breath and remember that it never ends well.

What do you mean you weren't replying to anything I said? That was my reply to you replying to something I said. Bad memory or are you delusional?

Don't worry everyone I won't be continue this feud, I'm done.

It doesn't matter if Casey likes the Michelin tires, and who knows how similar they are to the last time he rode. The bstones have probably changed twice since the last time he raced. He won't know anything about the tires or bikes until he rides them. He won races while not having everything perfect, something few of these guys can do. Now the Ducati is much better, and the man in charge can make promises and keep them. I have no clue where his head is, but people change their minds about things all the time. Hell Dorna should throw some money into the pot just to help people forget about the end of this season, I don't even like CS, but the guy would be a huge draw for the sport at this time, and he would not doubt be much more appreciated by all fans.

I do not think Ducati are sure what kind of bike they have... with two riders going in opposite directions as the season progressed, was the GP15 really that good or is Iannone an exceptional rider? Best way to find out is to put someone like Stoner on the bike.

Yo! Welcome back!

Dub - re-read the thread. I did reply to something you said much earlier - and my reply was to the point, factual, and reasonable - and most importantly - it was devoid of rancor or any kind of personal innuendo or attack. It's you who have confused my reply to 600 (to which you commented on) with a totally non-threatening reply to something you said much earlier. Re-read the thread. If you can find a post in this thread prior to your unjustified attack, where I said anything rude to you I'll give you $100.00.

Alright I can partially agree with what you said. Your reply to myself and 600 were separated by one post. And although you didn't insult me you were being a .... or ........ Add to that how rude you were to 600 and it made me go after you. I was wrong in that. But at least it got you a free plug(thats a joke.) However you cant attack some just because they think cs was a .... developer that ain't right.

Let's not sweat the small stuff. We're all ........ around here on a regular basis. Very few here can say they've never been rude to anyone else. You will note, that I read 600's reply and said it was my bad, that I'd misunderstood the intent of his post because he failed to give it context, and I apologized directly.

I wasn't being ....... to you in my reply. It was genuinely without malice and carefully written so as not to offend.

Stoner has one card yet to play.

He's the most talented rider and you'll be shocked when he gets the fastest time right from the first lap at the first free practice.

Do not understimate him, for this is his talent and what he knows to do better than any other rider.

For Stoner, lapping as fast as hell in a GP bike is like riding a bicycle: you never forget how to do it.

That's a huge call - I personally doubt that he'd top the session, unless he has significant laps under his belt in testing. Then, I could easily see it happening (let's not forget what Biaggi did in WSBK!!!).

Just as you have a hero (who seems to go by the name of Nicky Hayden) remember that my hero was and always will be Jarno Saarinen. I love how you make assumptions about me without knowing the facts (a common theme with you). I like Nicky Hayden but not as much as Jums, and seeing as you know me so well you've missed the gaping fact that I don't have any heroes, certainly not sportspeople.

Nice how whn you've run out of argument you bring up some wildly speculative and irrelevant fact that a rider from 40 years ago would wipe the floor with one today. I could argue that Jesus would have swept the floor with Saarinen, Hailwood, Sheen and Doohan combined...see how that works?

Now, you're welcome to try and throw more petty insults my way but it just proves the point that you have no argument.

Let's not sweat the small stuff. We're all ........ around here on a regular basis.

I'm never an ........ I'm just a hole with no ... around it...

Funny how you answer a reply to Jums as it was addressed to you.
Unless you are one of his bots. :)

Well, you quoted my post..it tends to infer that you are replying to me.

I can't wait to see CS vs MM (with some VR46)!

MM is extremely aggressive and CS has criticised him for it in the past.

If these guys are all out there at the same time, the cameras will be tracking MM, CS, and Jl, and Rossi will be so far back as to not be in the picture. Tho I can't help but wonder if Stoner will maintain his edge after so much time living in the land of good ..... and drinking Aussie beer in his fishing boat.

Would really love to see Stoner lesson-up young Marquez. But then I had high hopes that Nicky would master the Ducati with his superior flat track skills and that didn't exactly pan out.

@ #22: Sorry man, I checked back and now I see that I did answer a post of yours thinking it was Jum's. Doesn't change much of the substance, to be honest, but the form suffered. Accept my apologies. :)
