It comes down to tires. I believe that Hopkins is going to be a very good talent, however both his skills and the Bridgestone tires need to be developed not to mention the Suzuki GSV-R. Right now if you were to place Mladin on the Suzuki on Michelin tires he would obviously experience teething problems with the machine but I believe he would be fighting for podium postitions probably not on a regular basis but pretty close. Rumor has it a European team has contacted Mladin about a MotoGP or World Superbike ride, Mladin's response to the query: "No comment".... lets pray.
it seems to an Aussie thing to do, find something you can totally dominate and stay there, even when you have the option to move forward, we see it with the tin top racers here, very rarely do they want to push themselves. I would be suprised if Mladin moves!
I would really like him to. Personally I don't like him or hate him. I enjoy watching him ride because he is unreal and he talks a lot to other riders and then goes and backs it up so you have to respect that. However as a fan and paying spectator of AMA Superbike I am tired of watching this guy beat the field by 10 sconds every time. Its boring and I would assume the AMA knows this and would hope that he steps up a level.
