Gran Premio Motul de la República Argentina

https://www.gpone.com/en/2018/04/12/motogp/ezpeleta-summons-rossi-and-marquez-in-texas.html

Now Uncle Carmelo wants to have a meeting with Rossi and Marquez and sort this out.

I wonder if that will generate more media coverage.

This is the bit that annoys me; "I will talk to the riders in Austin, on Friday in the Safety Commission and we'll discuss everything there. I want both to participate, Marquez is always there, Rossi almost always”.
So Rossi decides if he will or won't not the race owners. IMO if he doesn't then he should be banned for 1 race, he doesn't own the organisation, much as Uncle Caramelo is his chief flag waver.

Something needs to be done about Marquez. There was no excuse for what he did last race. Everyone of his apologists has to go back in time to try to equate Marquez' inexcusable actions with something Rossi has done.

Its time to live in the present. It's time that serious action be taken against Marquez.

If nothing is done then we will have confirmation that MotoGP is a Spanish series run by Spaniards for the benefit of Spaniards. I'd rather watch WSB if that's the case.

Your problem, like many, is that it would seem you only watch GP bike racing to watch Rossi win, and in that regard he has obviously given you a very good run of well deserved success.

For him to win at 39 against much younger opponents of the current quality would require race fixing.

Perhaps WWE wrestling is the sport you are looking for.

Motogpforum Rule #1: Thou shalt not watch a race in the hopes that your favorite rider wins!

You may wanna look up Assen 2017, Mitchell. I know that you don't watch most races and only come here when you're on the rag, but...

Why does the option to unlike a post only come up after youve liked it!?

You further define he basic irrationality of your breed.

I actually don’t expect my favourite rider, one Michael Doohan, to still be winning races, and perhaps surprisingly don’t see that he is not doing as negatively reflecting on him.

You ever hear the saying “ a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while”
We are talking championships, not that one race a year he has been averaging since Marquez came on the scene.

Absolutely. Of course obviously to his credit he can still win the occasional race, but having the narrative of the sport based on his quest for the 10th is what I find problematic.

Zarco had not already made contact with two other riders prior to his incident with Pedrosa. Nor did he have the incidents during free practice.

So your argument is that Zarco causing Pedrosa to high side and break his wrist doesn't really matter because he made less overall contact with other riders?

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

And Espargaro himself was complaining about Petrucci, not MM.

Who is he to judge though?. He needs to get with the narrative.

It's just easier to call what happened with Zarco and Pedrosa a racing incident than it it to call anything Marquez did simply racing. Marquez was a hazard on track the entire race weekend. The fact that Aleix and Rossi didn't high side and break a bone doesn't mean that Marquez' actions weren't reckless.

Stop the presses, all ships at sea, etc, etc.

MV doesn't like Marc Marquez. Who would have guessed?.

Espargaro simply wants Petrucci punished for hitting him as well.

It is great that we have unbiased pure fans of the sport in possession of absolute truth and complete insight such as you on the forum.

There may be a vacancy for you on motogp RD actually. Dorna are apparently in the habit of employing mind readers for that body.

I have not really watched a race at this track in some time. What is the current opinion on the state of this track? In particular the safety. It used to be a really rough place as I recall.
It's much better, they have sorted out the bumps into turn 1 which used to be horrific. There's plenty of run off and the 'Assen like' section of fast sweepers is fantastic.

Hi,
This is IKEA. Please contact us to let the drivers know what would be a good time to deliver your fainting couch.
