Race 2 Gran Premio Motul de la República Argentina

It's on twitter. And really obvious. I don't think he gained anything, but rules are rules.
MotoGP (@MotoGP) Tweeted:
Here is the video from Race Direction showing Crutchlow’s jump start at the #ArgentinaGP

The explanation of how he was penalised for this can be found under article 1.18 section 14 of the rule book (see the tweet below for full description). https://t.co/1zWN2PG0pO https://twitter.com/MotoGP/status/1112501706582118402?s=17

I don't do twitter, facebook etc they are disgusting.

I don't think there's any real advantage to be gained unless you jump start like Sean Emmett did in a SBK race once where he gained about 3 bike lengths before the lights went out. Rolling forward by the length of a hamsters .... isn't going to make much difference in a 75 mile race.

Biggest jump I recall is Jorge at COTA a few years back. That was just embarrassing.

Looks like you can see the two bands of safety wire on the hand grip. How the hell could it have come loose? No wonder Lorenzo was so off pace. That couldn’t have helped his confidence.

Well Lorenzo did say he hit the pit lane button at the start, so he would go backwards.
I'd have a guess and say that the reason the grip came off was because the tether snapped at the handlebars.
.... happens.
Jumped chain, better than a snapped one.
