Gran Premio Motul de la República Argentina

Don't need to, you just give him a pile of .... to ride and he'll save them the effort.

True, but Yamaha lawyers would not be worth their pay if there wasn't an innocent-looking "if" somewhere in the contract.

I'd like to point out that Rossi's list of people he has punted/made contact with/caused to crash would be much much longer if guys he raced against didn't pick their bike up/take evasive action when he made moves on them. Ie Marquez at Laguna 2013, Stoner at Laguna, Lorenzo at Misano etc. I'm sure there's plenty more.

Lorenzo at misano, are you having a giraffe?

Beats the furious keyboard bashing you and your mouthbreathing brethren do on a daily basis.

You’re not suggesting that the pasty noodle armed one try and actually get into a physical confrontation with Marquez are you. ? Marc would tie his ... in knots then skull .... him for ..... and giggles.

Of course, he is a 6 time UFC champ, isn’t he?

Mirror mirror…

on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? The question necessitated the reply: YOU are Valentino, our king. I’ve so far marveled at the symmetry offered by this latest GP debacle, just about every contended detail there is a symmetrical inverse counter detail we can point to, much like a ‘mirror’, the irony of it all is quite remarkable:

1v1, Rossi crashes out Stoner (no penalty) in sketchy conditions and makes a media mockery of his helmet drawn insincere apology VERSUS Marc clashes with Rossi (effectively disqualified penalty) in sketchy conditions, helmet stand Uccio makes a media mockery out of the apology.

2v2, Rossi ‘deliberately’ crashes out Marc at Sepang, he cowardly slips out the back instead of attending the press conference VERSUS Marc ‘unintentionally’ clashes with Rossi, he not only attends the press conference to face the scrutiny, but Rossi convenes one to fire off outlandish accusations.

3v3, Rossi crashes out Marc ‘deliberately’, the media ..... foots around the subject (even still today) restraining themselves from asking the hard questions and worse, restrained themselves from calling on race bans, formulated justifications against black flags, agreeing with Mike Webb that a decision to penalize ‘during a race’ is too rash VERSUS Marc ‘unintentionally’ clashes with Rossi, media figures issues calls for black flags through social media ‘during the race’, Mike Webb follows suits, issues a penalty ‘during the race’ (something that was too rash in the context of a rider who had suffered a mental breakdown and in a heat of red mist deliberately aimed to eliminate a rival) with a complimentary reaction of who can dog pile the most scathing criticism of Evil Doer Marc.

4v4, Rossi ‘deliberately’ crashes out Marc, Carmelo Clause caves into public pressure, distances himself from Race Direction’s decision to issue 2 points on Rossi’s license (at the time constituted no actual penalty for the on track assault) which was done after much deliberation and well after the race, resulting in Carmelo Clause taking the extraordinary reactionary decision to fend off the public relations nightmare from accusations of a Spanish Conspiracy by moving Race Directions under Dorna to the FIM. The supposed message: hey we didn’t have anything to do with it guys, so don’t blame us VERSUS Marc ‘unintentionally’ clashes with Rossi, Carmelo Clause immediately issues a press release designed only to remind us that Dorna are no longer technically involved with Race Directions decision, ignoring the fact it was lead by Dorna’s man Mike Webb in both instances.

5v5, you can add yours here as there are many symmetrical parallels: ___VS ___ the contrast.

I’m compelled to repeat the point, the reaction by “reporters” has been a stunning reflection of contrast, for the Sepang debacle, the game was: how can I make myself invisible to Rossi’s wrath, for the Argentine debacle, the game seems to be: how can I make myself the most visible to Rossi’s plight. Like the Snow White folk tale, there seems to be a snow job going on, the Evil Queen simply couldn’t accept any other rivals, Snow Mite had to be eliminated, one way or another. Any challengers to Rossi’s narcissism must be cast as villains (in the tale, the queen actual employs a goon to extract Snow White’s guts, that’s right, GUTS and GOON, oh the irony. But I’ll shelve Uccio’s newsworthiness (or perhaps newsworthlessness) for a later post entitled “30 lbs penalty”.

Try again, Mitchell. And don't shift the goalposts this time.
There was no Google when I was cheering Okada on.

The 500s might have been tamed, but they were still nasty beasts. Would be interesting to see how many elbow down miracle saves MM would be doing if he were on even the last iteration of the 500s or the RC211V, both immensely powerful and had less computing power than a $20 Casio calculator watch, with your hands for traction control and your right foot for wheelie control. Incidentally, both, machines Rossi won decisively on.

It's not a coincidence that MM crashes lesser and lesser the more Honda improves their electronics.

While that might possibly be true, in all your wisdom do you know why?

I don't care if he finishes 24th and last, but I just want him to keep re-signing until 2040 just to see the mouthbreathers in agony.

If your happiness is predicated on the misery of non-boppers, you ain't gonna have much to smile about in the coming years. We're all loving the show coming from MM, Zarco and all the new talent on the rise, because unlike you we're fans of racing, whereas you're another empty shell of a person who believes that the past glory of has-been Rossi is somehow reflected on you.

And if reports that schadenfreude produces seratonin in the brain are true, then our collective happiness will be exponentially increased as you cry and whine and throw impotent tantrums as Rossi becomes less and less relevant.

It would be great to put on a red/orange (or yellow) t-shirt and stroll around the Austin's paddock.

How childish can you get, my 3.5 year old grandson could do better than that comment. So why don't you just toddle of to the kindergarten and entertain yourself building brick towers.

PS I'd like to say it would have been nice to know you, but I think you failed quite miserably in the entertainment class.

Bye!

The thing is he was happy with winning the 2 titles and left to live the Australian dream which is very different than the American dream at least. Most have to defer obtaining the dream coastal and/or rural property rather longer than Stoner did, although I suspect the likes of Barry managed same a while ago as well.

Even 9 titles were fairly obviously not enough for Valentino though.

That’s the thing.

He was always very careful about whom he tried “this is racing” on, selecting riders whom he knew would instinctively avoid a collision and were good enough to do do. He didn’t try it on the likes of Tony Elias, and in fact his gross hypocrisy when the tables are turned goes back at least to his confrontations with Elias in 2006 rather than just characterising his gp bike racing dotage.

Lorenzo takes a wide line for a late apex Rossi makes a similar move to Marquez because there is room there. Lorenzo picks the bike up as he gets the apex to avoid crashing. Rossi complains about Pedrosa doing an almost carbon copy move on him later in the race.
