As stated much earlier in this season, MM doesn't appear to have lost any speed when things are more much evened out. But my god the time gaps between him and the rest of the field is astounding in this era of GP racing.

The low grip conditions negate the GP24 advantage at Aragon. But the other GP23's are really nowhere to be found outside of AM. The VR46 squad looked bad in Q1.

But I don't trust MM to win either of the races since we know his proclivities for binning it at inopportune times.

Nice to see Acosta bounce back from that ...... Austrian weekend.

Any shark teeth? :)

The changes are subtle, but noticeable. The front of the fairing is narrower and flatter in the new version. Something Ducati did a few seasons ago as well to aid side to side directional changes. The rest looks the same as before, but they might have additional ducting on the side; I couldn’t tell clearly. Plus also the Swinglets.

Putting it all together, I think the new updates are aimed at fixing turning, which we should see evidence of; once the new spec engine arrives (Possibly at the Misano race).

One might think as soon as marc got some 24 updates to his gp23 he obliterated the whole field by a country mile

We have not seen gaps as big as today all season

I think it’s more down to Marquez’s management of mixed grip levels (The track had to be fixed overnight due to some fresh tarmac getting ripped up, severely reducing grip in some corners), rather than anything technical.

You can see how the Moto3 guys are currently launching their bikes to the moon due to the lack of experience in such conditions.

Track was patched before event in some corners, yes.. Why I'm replying is, you wrote "fixed overnight" , which isn't the case. It only rained.

I agree about MM's skills through uncertain and evolving track conditions, but I also think that Gp24 was developed race by race to get advantage of the higher rear grip from this year Michelins (to contrast the "rear pushing the front" a lot of riders complain about).
Getting on a slippery track all that fine tuning became useless, and Gp24s Lost some of the advantage built after the first races.

Add a bad shoulder for Diggia, a never found Gp23 feeling for Bez and a slow Bastianini (I am convinced that his supposed tire preservation ability is in the end a kind way to say that he's slower than his teammates) and Ducatis are all of a sudden less shining than usual.

On the contrary I'm very surprised by Aprilia's terrible results, they usually had something more in low grip conditions.

Entertaining sprint thanks to the battle for the last point positions. Marc! he showed the same speed he had during the practices and the qualy, didn't put a foot wrong, dominant win. It doesn't count as a GP win but I'm sure it will help to quench that thirst he had for more than 1000 days. Good races by Jorge and Acosta who couldn't do much about the rider in front. Bagnaia had a nightmare from beginning to end, uncharacteristic race by him, let's see what he says about the bike/tires. Feisty races by Binder and Quartararo, excellent result for the Yamaha. Tomorrow it's time for Marc to consolidate his form, let's cross fingers.
