The parent company of KTM, Pierer Mobility, has acquired a 25.1% ownership stake in the Italian manufacturer MV Agusta.

In their announcement, Pierer Mobility will take over the supply chain and purchasing for MV Agusta, and KTM will take over distribution for MV Agusta motorcycles in the USA and other markets.

Pierer Mobility currently owns KTM, Husqvarna, Husaberg, and GasGas.

And…KTM sells stake in MV Agusta.

I picked this article for its blazingly optimistic tone.

“Doesn’t fit with its long term strategy”.

At the moment KTM’s long term strategy is to not end up living in a skip bin eating pizza crusts thrown out by Ducati employees.
