Longest 18 laps in my life!!!

so, races can be exciting, overtaking can be done!!! Those people are overpaid!

That was amazing!!! what a race, what a result. I cannot believe that we got another shocker in the final race. It feels like justice for Kimi to finally get a title, in the year that Mclaren are surrounded by controversy. Congratulations to him and all his fans. Slap in the face to all his doubters, including myself.

KIMI RAIKKONEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done to Kimi, deserved WDC. Although as usual, he didn't seem too bothered, I'm beginning to think he really is a robot
<

As much as I feel sorry for Hamilton, it was his own doing. This was his second chance at securing the title, and really, the second time he's blown it. Despite the mechanical issue he had at the start, he just never really looked on the pace. I think Alonso did the best he can, it was pretty obvious Ferrari were lightyears ahead today.

Lets not forget Massa either. He probably had the pace to win the race had it not been for the championship situation. Good performance all weekend from him, and obviously as a fan Im hoping he can do better next season

Yep, one hell of a slap indeed!!!!!

Eventhough I'm a die hard Kimi fan, I have to say at some point I was starting to doubt too....im soooo glad he proved me wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I reading this right? How can Hamilton be a candidate for driver of the day, and Raikkonen, Massa or Webber not??

Didn't you see lewis drive off the track on the first lap, pretty impressive right?
<

<

You are right, clearly a ferrari gets drive of the day imo

Unbelievable. ....... Unbelievable. I'm glad Hamilton didn't win the title now, we'd have never heard the end of it, would we?

Yeah, Massa should be a candidate for that. IMO he was the "real" winner of the race. I found it hard to believe he made that "mistake", he lost a couple of seconds, voilà just what Kimi needed to get ahead.

Yeah, i think its better overall he didn't win. But Alonso really wasn't good enough either, Kimi really did earn that fair and square. Sucks to be Ron Dennis right now

Yeah, and I must admit, this is one of the reasons why I've come to not like the banning on team orders. They still go on, but because of the way they go on, the moral winner of the race doesn't get the credit they deserve. Although it doesn't say it on paper, I consider this Felipe's race victory. He looked great all weekend.

Massa would have won the race for sure. But we all knew he would let Kimi win IF it was necessary. It WAS necessary today, otherwise Fernando would have won the title. It was more than logical he finished second and Kimi 1st.
That having said, Massa drove a strong race, but this is just the way it is, Kimi would have done the same if Massa was in hunt for the title, unfortunately for Felipe, that wasnt the case.

Think you'll find that the without the time lost when he had the s/w problem, plus the extra pit stop he'd be ahead of Alonso. And he had lots more cars to pass.....

Give credit where credit is due, both to LH or KR.

Raikonnen has had more car issues then any of the other top 4 and has won more races, so deserving WC imho.

LH will be in contention for WC next year.

Nah Im sorry I disagree, wasn't a good drive overall from LH today. Most of the guys at the back of the field let him through, and even on a 3-stopper, both Ferrari's, and for quite a while Alonso were lapping quicker. It was him that made the mistake, no excuses.

Yes, true, sorry, im toooooo excited, I cant think clearly anymore (not that I ever did)

If Kimi finished 2nd and Massa won it would have been:

KR: 100 -> 8 points -> 108 point
FA: 103 -> 6 points -> 109 points
LH: 107 -> 2 points -> 109 points

Lewis has more 2nd places I think, so he would have won the title if Massa won the race.

Agreed!!! Lewis didnt do a good job today. I cant believe he's nominated for driver of the day

Overall this season, Lewis was great, no doubts, but when it mattered, he failed. Simple as that. I'm sure he has learned a lot from the last 2 races. He's only 22, losing out this time aint a bad thing for him.

No excuses given:

Quote Yamaka "Think you'll find that the without the time lost when he had the s/w problem, plus the extra pit stop he'd be ahead of Alonso."

If Alonso was lapping quicker, how could that be true. Like I said, credit where it's due.
