Something about them having 4 wheels tends to put a lot off!

Me too

Well it's a freedom of choice, but I believe this day overtaking in F1 is taking place in Pit Lane...unless you are a back marker..putting me off too..but hey F1 is about racing, pneumatic valve, electronics minus TC and top speed too !!!

i watch it if it dont clash with any bike stuff here in the uk the full F1 season coverage has gone onto pay tv with sky

the bbc are still going to show around half the races LIVE

But people arnt happy about that situation

what many dont realise is you cant watch all the races for free

on German tv Channel RTL all you need is a satellite kit for about £40 put RTL On mute the sound

and put bbc radio5 on for audio it works great.its a lot cheaper than paying sky

plus you get lots more sport on the satellite kit too so its a win win situation

not sure about the Bahrain situation again imo they dont go.it could be bad for F1's rep

it probably wont bother Bernie though

Have lost the passion for F1 some 3-4yrs ago.

Used to watch every race I could over the previous 15-18 odd yrs - went to many here in Oz but its lost its soul and I'm worried motogp is heading the same way but thats for another thread.....

Happy to see Kimi back in though - hope hamilton eats it and Button gets over him by the end of the season.

For what it counts Forza Ferrari !

Wow, you guys don't like F1 much do you? Makes a mental note to try and not mention it too much then

EffWun is disgustingly political and contrived. Just look at the godforsaken mess that is the new Austin track!

The regulations have squeezed all variety from the cars, leaving generic, rev-limited V8 lumps. (Once upon a time, V8, V12, Flat 12 and even H16 engine configurations battled for supremacy.)

I can't bring myself to sympathize with or 'like' any of the drivers.

Bernie makes my skin crawl.

The tire regs do occasionally produce a last-laps contest, but for the other 90% of the race, the drivers are often on different schedules and are not really racing one another.

I'm done with getting up at 4AM. Downloads are available, but I'm loathe to wreck by balance on a big, long video that will likely have very little enjoyable action.

In other words, 'Meh...'

Well, I've actually watched this year with interest (never really been that into F1). But, now that I have a Mexican to root for, well its become more exciting for me. Yeah yeah, whatever, I'm just not that into 4 wheels to get normally jacked about the series. I am impressed that they can lap so fast, and the speeds and corner grip is amazing. Anyway, Sergio Perez is the only reason I tune in. Yesterday he got another 2nd place. I think he was on to win both the races he finished 2nd (Ferrari orders and a bobble in one, yesterday ran out of laps).

I'm sorry but I have to vent about F1 on here for a bit.

So Lewis Hamilton has been spouting about how all the he wants in F1 is to win, then he goes and shows what a load of crap that is by leaving the team with probably the best car on the grid this year to sign for Mercedes who aren't much better than a midfield team right now. Yes, they had a win in China with Rosberg, but seriously? Hamilton has gone for the money and the personal sponsorships he couldn't get at McLaren! Serious about winning my eye!!

"Oh well."

Lulu's got great speed, but his head has never been screwed on quite right.

Button must be

Mercedes is likely to show Herr Cheatmeister the door, and not a day too soon. "SEE YA!"

Hamilton like him or not will have Mercedes on the poll in some races, as far as winning races...I'm not so sure?

Brawn and his team will have loads of pressure to deliver on a competitive car.

I don't know that he'll be that much faster than Nico or Schuey.

After Hamilton's transmission melt down, McLaren can now forget about this season and put all their $ into developing the 2013 car. I think they'll kick Mercedes' butt next year. I really can't understand why Lewis felt the need to jump ship. Was it really all about money?

It's not all about money, it's about personal sponsorship, the chance to keep his trophies when he wins them, and the fact I have no doubt that Mercedes have told him they're already working on the new car for 2014 when the regulations change. If you recall Brawn did that a couple of years back and they had far and away the best car on the grid for a while allowing Button to win the championship with the whole double diffuser thing.

Hamilton may get the odd pole position and podium next year, he's not going to win the 2013 championship in a Merc though, I'll state that as a solid prediction here and now!

Geonerd I reckon Schumacher could retire, or he could just go to Sauber, after all there's an opening now that McLaren have signed up Perez to replace Hamilton. I'd like to see him retire again myself, but you never know, some people just won't go away.

Ross Brawns team have won the title more recently than Mclaren have. Also a quick look back at the records and you'll see that in the last 20 years or so you either need to be in Ross Brawn or Adrian Newey's team to win.

Quite true, but Ross Brawn did it with the whole double diffuser thing before it got banned after the regs change, where have they been since that? McLaren consistently have a competitive car, Merc don't. So if Alonso wins it this year, and he might, it will be without either Newey or Brawn, so it can be done but I take your point Tom.

Yea, and I'm not trying to pretend Mercedes have been anything other than mediocre in the last couple of years. The point I am trying to make is that the calibre is there, I think it will be interesting to see how things unfold.

not trying to take anything away from newey, but his cars at mclaren weren't all that great. big fan of both kimi and mika so maybe theres some bias i admit.

i would never rule out mercedes for a championship, look at how well lotus are doing right now.

come to think of it, any possibility that schumacher could end up there?

he may not be as good as he used to be (no wonder at that age) , but he was able to to keep up with rosberg very well this year.

yes, numbers don't lie, blabla, but when you watch the races its definately not like rosberg pulls half a second away from schumacher every lap.

and i think rosberg is right up there talent wise with vettel, hamilton and alonso, so thats a good way of measuring schumacher.

i firmly believe he is still good for podiums and wins on his day.look at how alonso did in his second time at renault and how greatly he improved once he was in a competitive car again. not saying schumacher can do the same, but you know, he can still be up there IMO

Bleh, I think Hamilton is going to regret his decision. I doubt he will be winning any championships with Merc.

I doubt Schumacher will end up at Lotus somehow, I am pretty sure Raikkonen is on a multi year contract for one thing and Grosjean hasn't done that bad a job, well when he's not crashing that is rolls eyes

Rosberg has won a race this season and had a couple of other podiums I believe, Schumacher has had one podium since his return to F1, yes he's been closer to Nico this year, but is that really enough? He's also had two fairly major crashes from misjudging the closing speed between himself and the car in front. It could be time for him to hang up his helmet a second time if you ask me.
