That looked funny what happend to stoner and sete, the lap before the same thing happend to nakano. Who knows what happend there.

We can agree on that, the move itself was ridiculous and was never gonna happen. But I cannot agree that Dani should have ridden behind Nicky and just supported him.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (IsraeliRacer @ Oct 15 2006, 08:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>You seriously think Dani saw Nicky ahead of him and thought "Lets ram him and see what happens"?
no! this was colins job!
<

Isrealiracer I respect your opinion but Dani's move was just pathetic. He wasn't even close, Dani's a former world champion and overtaking manuvers like that, on your team mate, when he's fighting for the championship, on the penultimate race are just unforgivable. On his team mate aswell!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (IsraeliRacer @ Oct 15 2006, 08:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Conspiracy theories this way! I say that Rossi paid Dani Pedrosa money to crash into Nicky Hayden! Anyone got any more stupid suggestions?

No I am saying Dani saw Nicky ahead of him and said, "Watch this, I am going to show everyone who the better rider at Repsol is."

What he should have said is, "I know I can be faster than Nicky but lets just hang here for a couple laps and maybe I can follow him to the front and let the race come to me."

this would have been the smart thing to do. at least let the race progress a bit & settle in before trying .... like that. oh well rookie rookie rookie
<

We agree on the fact that the move was suicidal and never gonna happen, but it being his team-mate is irrelevant, they've been fighting throughout the season. Don't forget that Dani still had a mathematical chance of taking the title.

And I agree Dazza..... Marijke, Teo, what do you two think?

Lurking without posting mutters >_>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>No I am saying Dani saw Nicky ahead of him and said, "Watch this, I am going to show everyone who the better rider at Repsol is."
Ok, what I meant was "nobody thinks that Dani crashed into Nicky on purpose".

team orders or no team orders, a rider should ride with his head, not for his own ego. I know this is part of racing, but I was MAD as hell at pedrosa! HIS OWN TEAMMATE for fck sake
<
think the HRCteam will talk about this incident with pedro and NH. I feel so sorry for hayden

IR, this is what I think, I'm not lurking at all
<
misjugding a corner is a big mistake, and you're right, it can happen to anyone. but it's so sour that he took out his WC-competitive-teammate because of that stupid mistake

BUT luckely elias won! HAHA, 8 points is better then 13, right
<
I'm keeping my faith in hayden, although I know he has only 10% chance of winning the WC now

roberts jnr made a stupid mistake that he thought he was already in the last lap when he took over rossi, he should've known he still had 1 round left
<
but great he finished 3th! crashey stoner did honour to his nickname

Pedrosa done it cause hayden did the same thing to him on same corner 1 lap before, thing is! Pedrosa were never going to make it
<

Have to feel for Nicky but its his first DNF that was waiting to happen, not in this way though, Just like Schumi blowing up last week in Japan...these things are Bad Karma I guess.

Anyway 125's are off...

If I were in Dani's postition being a Honda rider for so long and having Honda pay my salary I would have done what I could to see that Honda wins the championship. He had no chance of winning the championship. Even if you want to throw all that out the window, I would not have pushed anything untill the opportunity for a win presented itself.

Very unfortunate race for HRC, my fantasy team and my bet for Hayden Champion.
<

All this talk about fining Pedrosa I find it quite amusing, Pedrosa just did what Hayden did to him the previous lap. There are no team orders in HRC so that's just the way it works in MotoGP. I feel sorry for Nicky, but I guess considering Rossi suffered the same crash in Jerez it's fair to have one each in terms of championship fight.

I'm also really sad for Sete, he also was an innocent victim of Casey's crash, but he's broken his hand and damaged the plate in his shoulder (again). Really bad year for Sete.

Elías did a brilliant job, he was riding like if it was a Supermoto race sliding in every corner, I've said before this guy would come good in the 2nd part of the season, it's taken him more time than that to get a set up that works for him, but the last race (6th) already proved he's getting there.

Roberts was also very good, but I think he's been a bit too conservative in the race endings this season.

When was the last time Rossi was beaten fair and square on a last lap fight???

Go Toni go!!!.
<

I think the rest of the riders can learn a thing or two from Elias, he's got balls! many get intimidated and dont give it their all. But to do that to Rossi, the last lap specialist, sliding the thing around like that, over taking two people in one corner, even letting Rossi through to examine is the mark of a future legend. I always had faith in Elias!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (powerscout @ Oct 15 2006, 01:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>What an absolute ....... pedrosa is!!!
It's racing, things like this happen, I didn't call Elias a ....... when he took Vale out in Jerez.

yeah toni was FANTASTIC sliding all over the grid, especcially for turn 1! never seen he could ride like that, drifting through corners etc. he made the race, I think
