Very hypocritical coming from Mladin.

But anyway, as to his point, the reason its like this is because DMG has made cause for doubt about the validity of the result on such a machine.

This really is too bad for Danny Eslick, because he's a good kid with a lot of heart. Sadly, DMG have tarnished this boy's results.

Luddington is a pulsating ........ Plain and simple.
What the .... in his estimation was Page supposed
to do? Pull over and get his parking ticket validated?
What a schmuck!

You've got to love that not once does Luddington mention safety in this rant. Obviously the blue flag keeps the race at the front unobstructed but to me I feel that it is very much a safety aspect. You get out of the way of a race so that way no one is making erratic moves and whatnot. Doesn't even enter Al's mind. All he cares about is "the show." Serves him and all those ...... bags at DMG to get caught behaving like this.

I mean honestly, I can't fathom there being a series next year. They have absolutely alienated everyone (except Lex and the 11 Buell Racing fans out there). Fans, manufacturers, riders and now apparently privateers because according to Al you don't matter unless you're in the lead group. Wait, I thought the point of what DMG was doing was to make the sport better for the privateers.

Will someone start a petition for a real series to come back? Or maybe ask really nicely for BSB to have a few rounds this side? Anything but this NASBIKE .....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Austin @ Jul 21 2009, 04:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>NASBIKE .....

Sorry, this is nothing like NASCAR. Starting with the 100k plus fans that pack the seats every race down to the racing, doesn't feel like NASCAR one bit.

Austin, this has got to be one of your best post ever. I swear, it was like I was writing it.
<
Nah, really bro, it was a top post, I agree man, DMG have lost their ....... minds.

Here is the thing, if this dude Ludington has the capriciousness to speak like this in public, can you imagine the .... that goes on behind closed doors. The list of DMG offenses is getting large, they have managed to insult just about every echelon of the sport from respected privateers, like Rock Page here, to in sighting the disgust of Mr. Schwantz just a few short weeks ago, to the latest rule book fiasco with Buell. I almost can’t believe it when I read and see it, its like they think nobody is watching. I almost would like to pull one of these DMG gorillas aside and tell them; “Do you realize we can hear & see you?” It’s ....... mind-boggling.

Johnny Rock Page was treated like a child, and he's a self made millionaire with the intelligence and sense of a decent person. Un-.......-believable.

That post brought a tear to my eye. Beautiful.

I have to say that when I first heard that Al was being hired by "The New and Improved AMA", I was impressed. I thought this was a guy who has been around the block and know what's up. He is a good addition.

Boy was I wrong!

Agreed about Al. Didn't he work with Duhamel for quite a few years? And Chandler before him? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

And thanks for the props. You too Jum.

I mean, the dude was going through some curves. If he swerves out of the way and catches one of the leaders, what happens then?

This amazes me. If they hold their lines, they get yelled at. If they swerve out of the way, they get in trouble...Can't win for losing...

Yes, that was him

AMA Ludington bitching out Johnny Rock Page for "messing up the show" and getting in the way of the leaders on the final laps of Mid-Ohio Race1:

http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=37409

I was really peeved when Johnny Rock Page was suspended for 3 races as a result of his relatively poor (but apparently legal) backmarking. At most he should have been suspended for the remainder of the event. I'm also a bit peeved he was suspended because as this video reveals, he is still operating under the old AMA assumptions: "What if pull over and somebody passes me?". Flag abuse was so rampant in the old AMA that his reasoning is justified. He had no way of knowing that the new AMA had used Gestapo tactics to scare backmarkers off the track when the blue flag is shown.

As I've maintained from the beginning, this is the REAL problem with DMG. From NASCAR to AMA they goose step around threatening the competitors. They should just give AMA officials black shirts with red arm bands already.

If Ludington isn't relieved of his duties, even I will no longer be able to speak out on behalf of Roger's vision. As Hitler proved, visions cannot come to fruition when Nazi's are in charge.

Edit: My bad, Johnny should know AMA competitors don't pass under blue or yellow anymore. I thought his first race since Daytona was at Laguna, but he ran a couple of rounds in the middle.

The hits just keep coming. damn
<

At the beginning, I hoped that a combination of factory clout, fans, and a non-captive press would keep the bully that is the France family machine in check. It hasn't.

These people obviously over estimated their ability to dominate the paddock. Years of ruling over comped stock car racers and gentleman Grand-Am drivers has perhaps inflated the Daytona ego.

DMG, there's a reason the NASCAR racers take this kind of leadership: they have been riding a lucrative gravy train for years and fear its stopping. You make them money and they keep quiet. Like the Ohio reporter mentioned on Soup said, Big Bill France's achievements with NASCAR do not give motorcycle racers a reason to bow down to the arrogant child heirs.

As sad as the state of AMA road racing has been this year, I have found some fun in watching the sodium and water like reaction of an alien media and fan base to the NASCAR management style.

You are to hold your line so you don't do anything unpredictable. The riders coming up behind you know what they need to do to pass you. If you try to move out of the way, THAT can "Fck up the show" as Al "The professional" so eliquently put it.

This whole situation is pretty interesting in terms of the AL vs JU component.

When Ulrich whined about the rules changes and then gave specific details about a run in he had with Ludington, I thought it was in bad taste. It would be like Poncharal describing a private run-in he had with Ezy or an FIM official. The public can't properly gauge the situation or the politics at play.

However, this latest video has changed my opinion. John obviously feels very uneasy about Ludington's place in the paddock and he made it his personal mission to send AL packing. The video clearly indicates that JU is justified in his vindictive pursuit.

Is it time for a vindictive teardown, Al?

I've been going back and forth with Mat Mladin, however, the following tweet from him has sealed the deal. I officially hate him!

You can bet your sweet ... that ....... hypocrite Mladin wouldn't have
made that statement if he'd been at the front of the pack after easily
passing Page the way Hayes did. This is just vicious sour-grapes because
he was struggling to maintain 3rd place on a non-cheater bike.

I dont know this to be a fact, but the general concensus from boards that have actual racers as posters, Johnny Rock is kind of a ...., and is not liked in the paddock. Mladin's response is suprising,it sounded more like something Duhamel would say about a fellow rider. I disagree with what he said, but in general, i usually agree with nost of what he has to say. I think he is in slash and burn mode as he exits the series and is going to make life miserable for those that have pissed him off in the past.
