I saw DuHamel literaly plow a guy off the track at Daytona back in 98, I think. I saw them coming up to the international horseshoe and thought "There is no way he is going to make this pass" and he just barged in and ran the guy off the track. I couldn't believe what I saw.

all i can say is that AMA racing goes away next year to be replaced by a new series. sanctioned by wera or ccs with full manufactures support. gooodby AMA & DMG...... don't let the door hit u in the ... on the way out.

Sorry Pov, I know Mladin is your guy man. But I was very disappointed to say the least. Mladin was really starting to grow on me, you know this. But man, it really boiled my blood for DMG represented by ....... Ludington to disrespect the honest privateer Rock Page like this.

Rock Page is a self made man. I encourage anybody to read his story. It’s excellent! You will become a fan of his in a heartbeat. Roadracing Magazine had a spread on his story about a year ago. This is when I learned of this guy, and follow his career a bit since then.

So to read Mladin agree with the completely WRONG suspension of Johnny Rock was too much for me to stomach. As you can see, I blew a head gasket.

Actually Mladin is not my guy, i just defended his decision to never go to Europe and race for peanuts and agree with most of what he says. I pulled hard for anyone to beat him the last ten years except this year. I really wanted him to win all the races to prove a point to those .... sticks at DMG.Except for when Nicky was riding the Honda,i always pull for whoever is riding a Kawasaki in AMA. I pull for Americans regardless of what they ride in international series.

Well then, what do you think of his support of the suspension of Johnny Rock, who clearly according the rulebook and any reasonable safety standard, did the right thing.

It has always been the responsibility of the rider overtaking to make the pass, while it’s been always the responsibility of the rider being passed to hold his line. Not only does it maintain integrity, but also is the best safest thing to do. An erratic move of getting out of the way could spell disaster for all involved, He did the right thing, but Mladin, being friends with that .... Yates felt compelled to defend him and saying Rock should have moved out of the way, clearly in violation of the rule book he is now claiming should be respected. That's hypocrisy at its worst, because it involves a person's life for the benefit of the "show" (in his case the primo donnas).

I have already stated that i dont agree with him on this. I saw the incident and at that point on the track, there really wasnt anywhere for him to go. Mladin is wrong in my opinion on this and Ludington is a flaming ... hole.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (povol @ Jul 22 2009, 10:05 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I dont know this to be a fact, but the general concensus from boards that have actual racers as posters, Johnny Rock is kind of a ...., and is not liked in the paddock. Mladin's response is suprising,it sounded more like something Duhamel would say about a fellow rider. I disagree with what he said, but in general, i usually agree with nost of what he has to say. I think he is in slash and burn mode as he exits the series and is going to make life miserable for those that have pissed him off in the past.

JR Page ain't .... to me. And I have no pre-disposition to like or dislike him
- even if his name is like something out of a Tales Of Combat comic book.
Regardless - his abuse by Luddington was inexcusable. I ....... hate people
who abuse power. To have the balls to yell at a racer for following the letter
of the law according to the rulebook - is ....... grotesque and adding
insult to injury - a three race suspension - over Luddington's absurd
concept of good show-biz is totally ludicrous. Page ought
to sue the AMA. I'd love to see all the manufacturer money go to WERA.
What a great idea. Why create a new series - when there's already a
perfectly good one already extant? They've been around for over 25 years.

There is no ....... way a three race or any number suspension is warranted. The gripe was not a safety issue, in fact Page is on the correct side of safety. He didn't cheat, like other teams have been found (Mladin last year was only DQed for one race). And Page didn't cause an accident. So how on God's green Earth are they justifying any kind of suspension? They can't claim he was being disrespectful, quite on contrary, the officials were well over the line. As a matter of fact, Page should get a written and verbal public apology from this Ahole.

I agree but could you ever see DMG apologizing for anything?

But But, HE ...... UP THE SHOW

Off with his head

On a more serious note,if he did walk into a court with rule book in hand, a video of the on track incident and a video of Ludington raking his ... across the coals, there is no doubt in my mind that he would walk away with a settlement. On top of that, he could probably have an injunction slapped on DMG barring future harrassment

Hot ....! Yer right. " Ludington has issued a letter of apology to Mr. Page and the overall AMA Pro Racing community."

How great is that?

Here you go Jumkie, this ought to get your blood boiling

MatMladin:You overwelmingly asked for my opinion on this one. Al Ludington's approach to "Johnny .... Head" was mild. I would have head butted him!

For me, this is why Mladin never has been and never will be a fan-favorite. He always gets in these little hissy fits about other riders and never comes out and says what he wants to say. Rather he uses current events to harass them.

For example, it's clear he's not a fan of JRP which is fine, he has every right to say so. But why on earth would you back the group that you have been feuding with for the better part of a year against a fellow rider who wasn't at fault merely because you have a grudge? Or like the days when he used to call Eric Bostrom a crybaby because his bored out Kawasaki 750 couldn't keep up with the Suzuki 1000. When in all reality, Mladin really wanted to shout from a mountain top :"Why is this guy more popular than me!?! I bust my ... everyday while he goes out a surfs and climbs mountains and finishes behind me and everyone still likes him more than me!" There are a few other incidents with Spies, Hodgson, Duhamel and B. Boz that have made Mladin look rather childish but can't remember all of them off the top of my head.

Even in the days where all the fans and riders, including Mladin, seem to be untied against DMG he manages to be an ....... and alienate himself yet again.
