Yeah, I agree, nothing wrong with some wheelies and burn-outs etc. They can be happy about their win. But this new trend of contrived post race celebrations is a bad sign. In my opinion, of course.
 
there was one overtaking in turn 1 where lorenzo didnt leave pedro much room ,proper block pass. far from illegal but still a hard pass when you leave the other rider max. 2 meters. didnt hear pedrosa complain about that too much , but then again i guess its the same as with stoner and the rossi fans. the slightest little fly .... will be elephant diarrhea when it comes from pedrosa.get real.



don't know about the sunny races and stoner wins, when its hot tyres degrade. when its cold theyre not up to temperature.when things should be fine the chatter makes his arm pump. maybe he knows that when things go his way he can comfortably beat the field but you can't afford to regulary finish well behind lorenzo if you want to win the championship.stoner needs to be the one i was cheering for in 06-2010.that honda won't tuck in the front withouth warning so give it a go champ.



just noticed that cal has got the honey badger on his leathers? honey badger don't give a ...., crutchy is well on his way to become my favorite rider in the series. falls into the spies/stoner category but quite bit more congenial and funny without being clownish. needless to say his riding rocks.



about lorenzo : i don't care too much for post race celebrations, didn't enjoy them when rossi did them, don't get a laugh when lorenzo does them. much more a fan of the stoner monster wheelies.but the guy is still class, as long as those celebrations don't exceed the 5 minute mark i won't be bothered and if his other fans enjoy them and he has fun enjoying his victory like that - good for them

I know a lot (maybe most) are gonna disagree, and fair enough - we all have a right to express our opinions. But when I saw Jorge jump off that bike yesterday and behave like that, it all dawned on me. The guy has no personality. It's all an act. The whole bloody contrived plot was scripted right down to where he walked over to his "too cool for school" DJ buddy (what a cliche) and pour crap into the waiting buckets for a foam ejaculation gimmick. How dumb! What's the point? The guy has been turned into a brand. He even has his own flag and logos for god's sake! And all the suckers buy them by the truck load and wave them like monkeys in a cage. He wants to win the title again this year so he can have his branded JL #1 again. Let the ..... have it. This aint bike racing. This is just marketing crap. Sure, it brings fans to the race - but they are .... heads. Is this how racers have to act to be considered "great for the sport"? How many times have I heard commentators say how a particular rider's personality will bring attract people to motogp. Screw that! I wanna see racing, not ........ theatrical stunts for the soap opera fans. Ok, I've had my rant. Feel free to cut me to pieces...

What a load of sour grapes. Stoner fans are the Neo boppers because they worship one rider rather than the sport as a whole. Just look how few of the ......'s have been here the past 2 week all because stoner didn't win.

So what if Lorenzo did some winning stunt, it's called entertainment ! Get off your soap box, the sport aint all about what YOU want. Some are not so interested in stoner's stand up wheelie, .... there's kids around my way can do that just as well but that's his way to celibate so good luck to him. To say Lorenzo has no personality is mpronic as my bet is you have never met him. Your problem is he won and is now 20 points clear.

Not very good for the engine and with the engine rule that is a concern. Honda use to tell there riders off for post race wheelies.

I'm wi you Chop, so what if Lorenzo is showboating, I'm not a fan of his or Rossi's celbrations, but it a bit of a laugh innit?



And as you rightly say, where are the Stoner fans when he's no winning? For those of us who have followed Rossi for years, we're not gonna switch off coz he's no winning, just like we didn't when Doohan, Rainey et al retired. Personally, I've liked Jorge for a long time, thought he was awesome in 250 class, am loving Cal's form and am a fan of plenty of the other riders.



And the end of the day, motorsport at this level, by nature is about entertainment and selling bikes, if you are racing at this level, you have to accept there is crap that goes with it, because, you are part racer, part salesman. I'm not saying it's right, but it's fact.

The guy is making his fan club happy, he also does bike and moto rides with them. What better way is there to grow the sport besides giving the fans more. Look at football and why it's so popular, how many riders do you see who give so much of themselves.

I think that most of the people that moan and scoff at these celebrations / stunts don't get it because they only see it on TV. Im sure if they were at the races and saw it going on and experienced the atmosphere it would make a lasting memory and they would enjoy it as extra entertainment.

Bike and moto rides is cool, acting like a clown denigrates the sport, and in my opinion, shows a lack of respect to the other riders.

Oh yea he is so disrespectful to other riders. I mean really he has toned them down to home gp's. Also after championship wins its cool. But damn do you want a bunch of mindless robots? Or perhaps 18 Colin Edwards's. Or do you want a bunch of crying puss's in the paddock. No not him! The Espargara's. Pol was crying so hard after the race I thought he was having a seizure. If I have to see them ..... hug and cry together one more time I am going to have an aneurism.

i'm on my period, i'm allowed to be emotional and overly compassionate for a rider that i think is one of the top 5 in the world.he managed to outperform the best who is known to be great at riding around problems.that says a lot to me.



but as a reply to your post : the launch control didn't seem to work too good for the 2 world champs that have been his teammates so far

also i think the yamaha might be the best bike at the moment. whereas honda and ducati have things to complain about, yamahas struggle for more hp seems to be a thing of the past with the 1000cc. also having what appears to be 4 equal bikes on the grid helps them i guess.honda are stupid for not letting their customer teams get the same spec as the factory team.

Dani is still the biggest overrated ....... in the paddock. All he needs is a reason to express his .... character. Last year Sic tried to shake his hand after he apologized, and Pedro put his little nose in the air. Suddenly people think hes now Mother Teresa because for the moment he's not leaving tests early, or talking .... about his fellow riders. Even journalist are drinking the coolade asking him why him and Lorenzo are now in a circle jerk. Cal will eventually crowd Pedro, and when he does, keep an eye and ear open to Pedros comments that will surely come.



Baustista, as much of a good lad he may be, is STILL overrated. Beating two .... Ducs and a rookie, yeah, not exactly a good ride. Why isn't he mixing it up with Cal and Dovi? I would have much rather seen DePuniet on his bike. The day Randy matched his time on a
 
i'm a big de puniet fan but other than that test ride he didn't do much.he had a good chance last year to be up there with rossi/hayden but he blew it.as of now hes not the clear number one in crts.



bautista is NOT on simoncellis bike, rather aoyamas bike. still a honda but not a factory bike and in my ranking the 3rd best machine (1. yamahas, 2. factory honda , 3. satellite hondas)

But like you, I'm just throwing my thoughts into the mix. Even if we eliminate the torpedo of Hayden (which everybody thinks is the ONLY reason why I dislike Pedro) there is an extensive list why I have no respect for him as a person (obviously the man is supremely talented as a racer). Its actually been a bit interesting to me that people dislike Stoner 10X more while Casey as said and done .0001 of the .... Pedro has, yet people write thread fulls of why Casey is the anti-christ (yes, he has stuck his foot in mouth a few times, no doubt). If there is one guy that deserves the .... talk, it IS Pedro.



Plus, its fun and makes me feel good to talk crap about him. Even if a lot of it is over the top.

i've been a member here for quite some time, i think i know how you mean things.



my point is just that pedders has been flamed long enough and i don't recall him being a jerk in the last couple of years. gotta give people new chances and hes earning my respect in the last couple of seasons,so credit where credit is due.

about the simoncelli part, i wouldn't have shaken his hand too, i guess neither would have lorenzo or anyone else that had an issue with his erratic riding at that time
