Casey Stoner Rumors, Still sick

As I said still warming up......

Yeah, but when are you gonna say anything of substance? So far your entire arguments have been a poster child case study on classical Logical Fallacies (you probably don’t even know what this means since you commit them ad nausea). And though you probably are not aware you’ve used just about all of them (your five favorites): red herrings, ad hominem, appeal to authority, appeal to belief, burden of proof, oh but you haven’t limited yourself to just these, as well as, appeal to ridicule, appeal to spite, hasty generalization, ignoring common sense, relativist fallacy, post hoc, etc. etc. Geez, you’ve employed them all and counting. Gaz has been patient and has debunked and rebutted every weak argument you’ve presented. Oh, but that hasn’t stopped you from talking yourself into circles. Much of your premises revolve around the jewel of seeking the press release issued that proves a negative. What world do you live in? Geez, even people have questioned whether we landed on the moon. Fact vs opinion, that's your entire defense. Do you need a press release to tell you the sun came up this morning? Rossi had clear advantages and preferential treatment many times throughout his career; many times it’s been exclusive. The Rossi Mindless have made a forum career out of telling us how others won because Rossi suffered some unfortunate something or other or that his rival had some advantage at the time (say they admit this anomaly); but have failed to admit all the exclusive advantages enjoyed by Rossi. Does that make Rossi a .... rider, no. He's still extraordinary. It’s simple enough, its common knowledge enough, and this game is not new or unique to this sport. Its a simple fact of life, it happens. Admit it, recognize it, and move on (oh but I know you won't). The only problem is that the Rossi cult live in an alternate universe where reality ceases to exist and double standards of argument are the staple of membership. Tapla, you’re one of many that has this mindset, and its most amusing to see you struggle in your attempt to cross over your irrational arguments into the real universe, but as long as somebody is willing to hand you a shovel, I’m more than entertained to see you keep digging.

Oh Jum.....of course I would expect a long-winded semi-intellectual response from you right at the end of it all as you couldn't really contribute anything else constructive......what the .... is your problem man!!! Most members enjoyed the debate if nothing it was entertaining, but you of course need to to draw a line-there has to be a winner-why?

Only in YOUR twisted bias mind could you conclude that anyone is a winner or loser here because of course its all from your bias point of view.
And .... off I need to a press release to know to sun comes up ........, I live is SEQ-OZ, we don't have the smog that seems to blind you and keep you an angry little man.

Why can't I ask for facts from those who throw out allegations? .... off I can and I will! Surely if you are so wise you know that to persecute requires evidence if it ever is to gain legitimacy. I suggest that you are the one displaying the ultimate double standard, what gives you the right to throw out allegations without proof, and then say that other arguments are debunked because they oppose your point of view? who do you think you are-god?

And the Rossi fans don't live in a cult like universe, most of them are people who love motorcycling racing, enjoy being entertained and respect incredible talent, whats wrong with this? Nothing of course.

I have supported this sport for 25 years, followed WG, MD, WR, KS, EL, Loris, KRJR, KM, Garry Mcoy, Barros, VR, JL and many more and fans like you really ....... piss me off, Parochial, Bias, miss-informed, heavily opinionated, close-minded, presumptuous.......the list goes on and your not alone, unfortunately.

Most of Gaz and my debate was around his unwillingness to provide us with a sarcastic response to VR detractors here as he did with CS, but you left that out didn't you, just focus on your bias as usual, you didn't see any flaws in Gaz's points? Even he did! Funny that you bring up the logical fallices as you are more guilty of displaying all of their traits than anyone-takes one to know one.

I'm not digging mate, just looking down into the hole at you.

A wiseman once said, and I quote, "Can't we all just....... get along?"

For Mudcrab and other disbelievers. I posted this earlier and it was apparently ignored, so here it is again. This is really significant,; possibly similar to the discovery of the AIDS virus. Can,t ANY of you see the sigificance. Surely you don,t have to have a medical background to grasp that!

"And.......for the thousandth time , Casey has had a form of chronic or post-viral fatigue and has now largely recovered due to the rest he took. It was the correct course of action.

Recent research suggests a Retrovirus could be responsible

Check out this link and become a little better educated (Rossi boppers) and become less inclined to concoct ridiculous conspiracy theories relating to mental burn out and fear of racing Rossi.

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article....rome-retrovirus

The anaemia and gastritis were not the cause of his weakness, just incidental findings or secondary to the primary infection. Also, although blood parameters have a designated normal range, certain individuals can have values slightly outside this range without having a disease related to it.
ie. the anaemia could have been an incidental and non significant finding.
Even Casey knew that his anaemia was too mild to explain the severity of his weakness."

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bunyip @ Oct 15 2009, 10:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I posted this earlier and it was apparently ignored,

There might have been a good reason for that

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (VHMP01 @ Oct 15 2009, 05:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I think Duhrna has done a lot to leverage any advantages Rossi had, even the change to 800cc formula. In fact, I think Duhrna has done everything possible to ensure that decisions would benefit Spanish riders above all. This of course does affect adversely in Rossi’s influence, doesn’t it?

So we agree, DORNA has leveraged any 'advantage' that Rossi has had and can/could provide them and being the bigger money spinner for the sport, he has advantages does he not?

As for the spanish influence, you will notice in my earlier posts I allude to a possible loss of the 'meal ticket power' of VR, I do this because this year the tide does seem to have turned towards a certain spanish rider (and was not so much DP previously due to the 'lack' of public persona)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (VHMP01 @ Oct 15 2009, 05:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>But Honda’s Influence and Relation to Michelin was very vocal too, which did not help Pedrosa in the change until it was obvious for the entire Sport (Mid Season).

Exactly, so how di VR get the tyres?

See, that comment does back up the conspiracist as why was it VR and not the Honda rider that got the tyres if Honda were so powerful?

For mine, and before people jump I will refer them to an earlier post I made months ago when this very topic was being discussed for the 400th time, that post being that if you were Bridgestone and could (as opposed to being told you must) provide tyres for one extra bike and had to choose between VR and DP - easy choice hey.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (VHMP01 @ Oct 15 2009, 05:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Was it not Hayden very vocal about the crap 800cc are and also wanted 990cc back?
<

A number of riders want them back - but how many spoke out vehemently about it prior to teh change is the point as I cannot really recall any negativity until after the bikes had been ridden.

That said, I think you are right and maybe Hayden was the more outspoken but I honestly cannot recall with surety.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (VHMP01 @ Oct 15 2009, 05:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Now, why are we discussing Duhrna, Michelin and Hayden in this thread is beyond me!

Thats some heavy Bruce Lee ..... But dont jump to conclusions oh wize one. I choose to ignore it because it makes no real difference to anything. Casey raced last week and will race again this week. After his brilliant come back race Casey said he wanted to silence his critics and now I think his fanboys and haters alike should all stfu. End of story

Why is it soo hard for you people to accept the fact that maybe.... JUST MAYBE, Stoner's fatigue and lack of willingness to fight through it IS indeed due to the fact that the pressure is getting him? Mind and Body works as one. When the mind is frail so is the body. I'm just putting it out there, not to say this is what's going on in Stacey Stoner's situation, but it could very well be. Or it could be said that he over trained, yadayadayada, and became 'ill' as a consequence.

It's just for me, the former makes more sense. I believe the pressure got to him.
