Raul showing the brief sparks of brilliance we used to see from Oliveira. Not entirely fair as Miguel has won several races, but we haven't seen much of him since he left KTM.

On the other side of the garage, I've started the countdown until Mav starts blaming the bike and saying he doesn't understand what's happening.

Why would Maverick do that when he has had some very good results?

Oliveira has been broken after he was injured, was it three times, due to someone taking him out, last season.

Mav can be very quick, but I think often performs poorly under pressure and gets into his own head too easily. Having had some good results may (paradoxically) make this worse. He has trouble maintaining those good results, puts himself under pressure, has more difficulty riding well, lashes out. People can learn and grow though, so I hope he proves me wrong!

Well the silly season is still stuck on the second factory Ducati seat leaving us tones of time to speculate on the dynamics of silliness
Current speculation;
- Martin will either be in the factory Ducati team or the Aprilia factory team
- M Marquez likely to be on a factory Ducati bike but which team and how does that impact his personal sponsorship
- Bastainini likely to loose his factory Ducati slot, could end up at Aprilia but may depend on whether Martin ends up there
- Mir desperate to leave Honda, satellite Aprilia is the most likely destination
- Vinales likely to be retained by factory Aprila
- Acosta likely to be transferred to factory KTM

The Viñales part depends on both his results and the possibility of Aprilia being able to land both Martin and Bastianini

I think Bestia already lost his factory Ducati seat... He will ride a GP24 next year or a RS-GP. Massimo Rivola said they want have an italian rider on their bike

Yes, Aprilia would want an Italian rider. However if Martin is available, the pull of the passport will not be that great. I do believe that Aprilia's favoured line up is: 1. Martin 2. Bastianini 3. Viñales

Don't know of they have the financials to be able to get both Martin and Bastianini.

According to me, it would be a mistake to take both Martin and Bestia... even if their bike is improving, I think they have to keep Maverick regarding to his knowledge on the RS-GP.
I agree with you, they would prefer Martin but Bestia is on an ejector seat and it would be a good opportunity to sign him. I add that Bestia's riding style could fit more than Martin's one on that RS-GP, without saying Bestia would be faster than Jorge...

Why? Mavrick is worthless. I mean he could test the rev limit or the durability of the fairings by kicking the .... out of it like he did to his 125 bike. I say dump him now before his bipolar side rears its ugly head. If you can sign Martin and Enea I say go for it.

Whilst I agree with you, on principle, that to retain one rider, as a developmental reference point, is smart. I don't know how good of a reference point Viñales is, since he is more erratic than most.

By the looks of it, Martin will be retained by Ducati Corse.

The latest gossip seems to be that Pramac Racing will remain a Ducati affiliated team if they get Marc, and move to Yamaha if not.

Merely sportingwise, I'd like to see Pramac joining Iwata, Raul Fernandez going there along with Diggia, and Marc having Aldeguer as an apprentice.

The current believed info out there is that Marc doesn't want to jump to Pramac. I don't know if he would remain on Gresini with an updated bike but doesn't seem like Ducati is willing to provide up-to-spec bikes to any other team that isn't Pramac. This complicates things for Marc. Rumor also says he would sign with KTM and form team alongside Binder, leaving Acosta on GasGas for two more years (maybe now it makes more sense recent statements from Pedro saying he prefers to model himself after Rossi than Marc).

IMO if Ducati lets Marc go away, they're gonna regret it, specially if he ends up winning this year's championship and then walks away. Apparently Gigi is of the opinion that Marc should be the factory rider but he's overruled by the other execs.

I don't believe in this info. Of course Marc wants a red factory GP25 for next year (as everyone in the paddock no ?) but it's a communication game. He repeated so many times he just wants the best bike possible. This bike is currently also purple and Martin shew/show it well. Then a move to KTM is unthinkable at that time.

I think Ducati should just give Gresini a GP25 with factory support for the next 2 seasons and be done with it. Let Pramac go to Iwata, it'll cut down on the number of bikes that need to be supplied as a whole. Meets all of Ducati's desires quite easily. Plus Nadia said she will do anything to keep Marc on the Gresini Ducati, so let's see if her desire can carry things to that point.

I'm laughing reading this, just imagining Morbido would ride a M1 again 🤣 Regardless of Fabio, the japanese bike GP could be more interesting

I'd understand Marc not wanting to go to Pramac for two causes: 1) he's gelled well with Carchedi and all the Gresini team as well as Nadia, plus a chance to keep working with his brother and 2) the involvement of the Nieto family in Pramac, which is very close to the Rossi camp and openly sided with the Italian in the 2015 incident. I could understand him not wanting to work with who he perceives to be an enemy.

I would truly laugh if MM somehow won the title for Gresini and then ...... off to the factory KTM and won there next year. I honestly don't think Pramac would be a good fit for Marc for the reasons you mention, plus my gut feeling is he'd be better off on a KTM than a Pramac Ducati, assuming they don't go to Yamaha.

Of course i totally agree with these 2 causes, my position was in the case that he couldn't have a GP25 at Gresini as said higher...
Without talking about team transfers to another manufacturer, why Ducati couldn't give a GP25 to Gresini and let Aldeguer or even Morbidelli on a GP24 ? Same number of bike specs, issue solved...
