Hot take, I don't think Honda would take Marquez back. The team would do anything I think, but corporate Honda has probably been shamed by his behavior (like flipping off the bike), and it would be a hard swallow to take him back. Not impossible, but I suspect it's a lot more unlikely than many think (including Marc).

Hotter take. I don't think Marc cares. Who lost more when Marc left? Honda lost redbull money and repsol drastically cut back funds. Repsol only stayed because they were obligated by contract to do so. If/when Marc leaves ducati it will more likely be to redbull ktm. Marc won't be asking to go back to honda, so it doesn't really matter if honda would take him back or not. But I say they would. One for the money, because honda needs Marcs money. Two because honda is well aware that their bike was attempting to preform seppuku on him. Three because he was very respectful when he decided to leave. He continued to do meet and greats in Japan at honda until January. You could tell the gratitude was mutual at these events.

Yes, he mostly complained about the lack of competitiveness of the bike, as FQ has been doing at Yamaha and Rossi did at times at Yamaha as well. He didn’t complain about the bike trying to kill him as he was well entitled to do. He is also their most successful rider ever. Mick Doohan their most successful rider otherwise is ancient history for most if not for me and others on here, then we get down to Rossi whom it does appear they will never forgive. I could see a future narrative when he retires that Honda were screwed by the regulations/Dorna in his latter career with them which would perhaps have the virtue of being somewhat true.

Okay, I'm nit-picking but this is about the 3rd article I've read recently that refers to Lorenzo as a "two-time MotoGP" champ.
By design I'm sure. Rossi, however, is a 9 time champ.

If Ducati delays securing the second factory rider then Bastainini is at risk of not having a seat at all so it makes sense to look around

Why on earth should he do that?

Honda builds motorcycles, not aeroplanes.

I think if done properly, the next formula could put the motorcycle back in motorcycle racing. Especially Liberty think watching the riders be more involved is better for the show.

As @MdubSTYLIE pointed out, Marc left on phenomenal terms with Honda. He really will not criticize them even to this day now that he's got seat time on the Ducati. That speaks volumes about what keeping that relationship good means to Marc. I think if the circumstances were right, he'd love to go back there. But right now he's on a different journey in his career and he has to make decisions based on up till 2026.

VR46 ‘has already rejected Yamaha offer’ for 2025, Pramac primed?

Apparently VR46 have already turned down Yamaha's offer. What a joke. I would be rescinding Rossi's 'Brand ambassador' role immediately.

Looks like there is a chance that Pramac will become a Yamaha satellite team.
How does that work with current contracts etc? The guy from moto2 specifically who I believe is contracted directly to Ducati.
I can understand Pramac being unhappy about not getting 2 current specs Duc's but to spit the dummy and go to Yamaha would be a surprise at this point.

Perhaps Ducati has put its price up? That would explain jitters in some of the Ducati satellite teams
